The only question anyone has right now is what's Currie's plan? If the Vols lose Saturday night, what does it mean for Jones? We continue to hear that Jones won't survive another loss. But if there is another loss, the timetable for any kind of news seems all over the map. And that's just the way Currie likes it. He's not going to draw anyone a roadmap to his plans or thoughts. So with a loss could their be news on Sunday or Monday? Possibly. Could Jones coach out the regular season? Possibly. Could news come after the LSU game? Perhaps.

On the Jon Gruden front, the rumors have and will continue to fester. We have not found any confirmation on Gruden flying around on donor planes, nor have we found any confirmation of Gruden having a 10 million dollar a year offer.

We have reached out to Gruden's people, who have declined comment obviously. We also tried to set up an interview through ESPN with Gruden on Monday afternoon in Charlotte before his Monday night game, but that request was denied as Gruden doesn't do media stuff in the cities of games he works outside of the two team's radio networks. Just another indication that the #Grumors aren't going away and that the Gruden camp isn't going to shutdown any of them. By the way, Gruden is being inducted into the Tampa Bay Bucs ring of honor on Monday night, December 18th as he calls a Monday night game in Tampa.

Yea, I can't dispute that. But Nick had the stats a couple of weeks ago. Mullen has never beaten a ranked team that finished better than 8-5. Maybe LSU does this year.

I like Mullen, but I am going to say again that his record is bolstered by some non P5 wins. He has only been better than 4-4 in conference one time, and that year he did, he played UK and Vandy in the East.

Gruden - exactly and we still won it with him but with you I get to choose you and develop you. With your talent we not only win the national championship but you become a number one draft pick who is way ahead of where Johnson was. So you become a college and pro QB national and Super Bowl champion.

Honestly, (and this is very in line with my personality) I'm a little worried about us being the dog that catches the car. I know there's the founded assumption that he's only signing here if he can afford an all-star staff.. What does that look like to y'all? Chemistry, Innovation, Recruiting, Development, Ethics.. Is it realistic we get Tee as OC? How good is Zook? Are there any specific names at any particular position spots?

I count 16 drafted NFL players since he took over Mississippi State. Butch coached 9 drafted NFL players at Cincy alone. 6 at CMU and of course 6 at Tennessee. I’m not counting Jawaun James since he should be Dooley’s. If we go the players they coached as assistants, Dooley’s time with Saban prolly keeps Mullen from doubling up, there. :hmm:

I trained with my guy today and his source (close family friend with a multi million dollar company in Chattanooga) which i posted about a week ago who works in the AD in some capacity has changed his tone. He once said petrino was who we were getting now he has said that’s on the back burner if we get our guy. He wouldn’t give any more specific info because he said he believes a few people could be fired and are being set up to find the leaks. He said his other ppl in the AD have been told Mullen, Durkin, Patterson and the Memphis coach. (This might explain why no one is sharing anything of importance on the AD side).He asked my trainer had he shared with anyone because he said info he had given out had wound up on a message board. Of course my guy said no and he asked me and I played ignorant. He said he didn’t want to be giving out insider information, someone place a bet with that info and it coming back to him in some capacity. This guy sounds super paranoid which leads me to believe something big is going on. With all the positive chatter today it seems that the AD is behind and have been given misinformation. With what I’ve heard this week personally and from insiders on this site...Gruden is happening!

All of this could just be to find the leaks in the AD, not necessarily Gruden is happening. They tell one person Gruden is flying around in a plane, another Petrino is the top target, Chavis is coming and $10.2 million contract. You'll be able to find them pretty quick.

Just imagine for a second what it would be like to have Gruden as the head coach of our beloved Vols. Recruiting lights out, our coaching our rivals, beating top 10 opponents, winning championships, the joy!
