Lol, he has done historically great things at Miss St. Once again, we are talking about Miss St. One of the worst programs in the country in one the of the toughest conferences.

It's Miss State..."Greatness" is relative. He has done nothing great there to me except not get beat by the dregs of the SEC and the creampuffs they play every year anymore.

That's what I'm saying, according the Mullenites..no losses of his matter. That is confusing to me. He has done nothing great at Miss St. He has done some good things, but nothing to get hysterical about.

Taking State to #1 isn't great? It would be like taking Vandy to #1

He raised the expectations there so people act like it isn't much of a difference being there compared to here when it's not comparable at all especially with the level of competition in his own division without the same resources as those opponents

Gets it.

If the Gruden deal falls through, and neither Kelly, Peterson, not Patterson are options, then what other realistic options do you have? Take away these guys and the obvious "not gonna happens" like Saban, Meyer, and Harbaugh, and what better sitting power 5 coach is out there?

Man, I want to believe the Gruden stuff, I really do. But every time I get close, Boro and DTO show back up.
And as they go through their whole shtick... "some of the info coming out (not gonna say which info), is matching the info I refused to share last week"., I remember this was the the start of the entire ride, again.

No matter how this has grown or who is giving legit possibilities now, I just can't forget the root source. 2 insiders that every single poster in the Gruden thread, wait on for confirmation.
And neither one of them has ever given a single post containing information.
Not 1 SINGLE post of information from the base of the entire thing. Amazing.

Don't follow the DTO guy at all really but Boro is a goof wad. The football forum guys eat his stuff up. I think he averages about 20 likes per post lol

Lol just to let y’all know this guy posted in the gruden thread we’re all asshats and should kick rocks because of how Boro and DTO were talked about tonight.

Exactly why I left the Gruden thread. I used to spend a lot of time in there. I like this thread better. In my opinion it's a little slower pace in here and I'm not 75 pages behind if I go an hour or two without checking in. There are a lot more different names in the Gruden thread over the last week too. I still check in occasionally but feel like I'm way behind when I do.

Plus I learn a lot more from the discussions in here.

Thanks for being a welcoming and educating group!

I thought it was identical, just a new name?

It's definitely different. Has more of a traditional coke burn going down than previously. Used to I felt it was closer to diet than Coca-Cola Classic. Now it's more like the original.

I agree. I listen to what he has to say. And although I don't know him personally he strikes me as someone who gives enough detail to be able to say "I was there" type of thing. Speaks in generalities. In his defense that may be due to the beating he took in 2012 though.

I know. I do think Frost has potential to be the next great one, but he is an unknown still, and could just as easily turn out to be Kendall Gill..I doubt it...but..

RF on NSD regardless who is hired

Mullen became coach in 2009.

From 2001 - 2008 Mississippi State had:

One 2 win season.
Five 3 win seasons
One 4 win season.

I don’t think people remember how god awful state was before Mullen.

#8, 10-2, lost to bama by 5. What hes done at State is even better than what Franklin did at Vandy...

One great season..with a great QB. If Butch had squeaked by Okie and Fluhrduh a couple of years ago..would anybody here be wanting to keep him now?

Their Indoor complex that was opened in 2013 is because of Mullen too. Before then the Baseball team had better facilities than the football team lll.

It's transitive property, man. If he can do that well at a place like Miss State, imagine what he could do at a place like UT where he would actually have the resources to keep the good coordinators he surrounds himself with and even Derek Dooley can land top 25 recruiting classes.
