Nice example of the bs checks that happen with concussion protocol in the NFL game. Literally wasn't checked at all.

That's what I'm saying, according the Mullenites..no losses of his matter. That is confusing to me. He has done nothing great at Miss St. He has done some good things, but nothing to get hysterical about.

I’m not trying to defend Mullen, but if they hang with Bama this weekend and have a good showing would that change your perception?

Lol, he has done historically great things at Miss St. Once again, we are talking about Miss St. One of the worst programs in the country in one the of the toughest conferences.

Make it to Atlanta regularly and there's always a chance, especially if you have good QB play, which Mullen almost always does.

There are few coaches out there that are going to be able to come into UT and recruit on par with Saban. Therefore, if you aren't fortunate enough to land one of those very few, you've got to roll with someone that has proven that they can win games against more talented opponents. Guys like Mullen, Patterson, and Peterson fit that bill. They are not "sexy" hires, but they've have proven that they can coach football well enough to win against more talented opponents.

That's the thing tho. The only coach anyone is likely getting hysterical about is Gruden. Which would be such an unprecedented type of hire that's not normal in college football. Would be amazing obviously.

But there are other good coaches worth handing this thing over to if Gruden doesn't sign. Mullen is highly qualified and would be a huge upgrade all around.

All he has done is stack consistent winning seasons, one on top of the other, year after year since he started there.

We wouldn't even know what to do with ourselves with that level of stability. We haven't seen it in almost 15 years.
