I just want to say thank you to all the vets in this thread, because of you and those that came before you we have the freedoms that we have. Thank you goes out to the mods also for taking out the trash.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

To the first allegation: It would not be immediately known, there are requirements to post those documents, but it is not immediate. They would be subject to a records request, at which point the University would have 7 days to respond. However, you are assuming that anything has been drafted by the University. It could easily be that the University told JG's agent (orally) to draft the agreement.

In addition, if YOU had ever tried to request records you would know that they can deny them for being vague, over broad, or construe the request to not point at what you intended.

If you think that "all documents related to Jon Gruden's involvement with the University" would get what you want, you are sorely mistaken. "Any contracts executed between the University and Jon Gruden" may not hit because it had not been signed by the University yet (even if JG did sign it).

To your second allegation:

They may not begin paying a second coach, but there is ZERO reason they couldn't execute an employment agreement with JG while Butch is the coach. There is nothing in BJ's contract that prevents the University from interviewing, or HIRING, another coach (or 4).

Conclusion:

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. you're spreading false information that you came up with on the toilet. Why don't you go put it back there? Or, put it back where it came from - your ass.

Took the words right from my mouth...lol

I'll help you out...

Tommy DeVito: You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it's me, I'm a little ****ed up maybe, but I'm funny how, I mean funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I'm here to ****in' amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?

Henry Hill: Just... you know, how you tell the story, what?

Tommy DeVito: No, no, I don't know, you said it. How do I know? You said I'm funny. How the **** am I funny, what the **** is so funny about me? Tell me, tell me what's funny!

Henry Hill: Get the **** outta here, Tommy!

Tommy DeVito: Ya mother****er! I almost had him, I almost had him. Ya stuttering prick ya. Frankie, was he shaking? I wonder about you sometimes, Henry. You may fold under questioning.

My favorite movie bravo sir bravo!

These threads have made me a better person.

-Learned some legalese (MOU, BATNA, Esq. abbreviation)

-Picked up new recipes with Benton's bacon

-Gained a broader knowledge of good single-malt scotch

-Learned where some great golf courses are

-Restored my faith in humanity (strangers helping strangers find jobs, people kindly asking to curb use of the "R-word," people genuinely praying for people to beat cancer, high school friends reconnecting, dads playing Pokémon to connect with their kids)

-Gained a better appreciation for our military veterans

-Being honestly, genuinely excited and proud when Preacher got his first gif to work

-Looking for the best in posts and drive-bys, while being ready to accept the worst

-Knowing to keep politics and religion out of friendly discussions

-Learning how to plan out a school week with optimal desk work so Coach Z can "check his emails"

-Patience to wait till next Sunday. Then the next. And then the next. But all the while, having the faith that it's gonna happen.

-Appreciating the aesthetic qualities of Daniela, Margot Robbie, Jennifer Lawrence, and the girl getting knocked over by the wave

-Remembering that no matter where we all are in the world, how old we are, how long we've rooted for the Vols, that we're a Big Orange Family.

-Soon.

No matter what happens after Vandy, VolNation....you make me wanna be a better man.

One thing I saw was ‘Boro kinda open up. Til today he would only state that he had good info that Butch was gone after the GA game. Everything else he stated clearly was just his opinion. Today he seemed to take a much more bold stance. Apologies to ‘Boro if I interpreted incorrectly.

I think you observed accurately. But there are more people who have had good knowledge who are still being quiet about it. I'm sure there's a combination of eye-rolling and frustration with some of the johnny-come-latelies.

Military doesn't bother me. Self important, lazy people who want to be spoofed the information many of us have painstakingly gathered and processed over the last month or more bother me.

Agree. Drives me up the wall.

I don't know which is worse, those you mentioned, or the -Why would Gruden come? He sucks, remember? What makes him so great?- crowd....?

Dipshidiots.

Good evening everyone. A couple of things after catching up (which took me 2 hours btw):
1. Wow! The thread is moving super fast like it was in XX - XXV again.
2. Lots of positive vibes and mega-insiders popping in with good stuff. The fact that the media is starting to talk about it makes me feel even better about it.
3. My daughter will be born in January. It makes me smile inside knowing she will get to grow up in the Gruden era.

Thank you for cleaning up the crap again. I really appreciate having your clarity here to help direct us.

No thanks needed. I just hate when folks don't bother to think about the actual facts. Seems like a decent idea - its just half cracked.

With all the smoke and mirrors of a process like this - the least we can do is not get confused by obvious misinformation.

I don't know anything about what's going on behind the scenes, but I do know about what is and isn't possible. In the world of transactional law - you can pretty much do whatever the heck you want to do. Willing buyer, willing seller. That's all it takes. How far you go depends on how willing you are to close the deal.

Keeping secrets as a public institution is wrong - as a policy matter. But no one wants transparency at the cost of effectively doing business. Just make sure we can follow the math afterwards - and it all works out.
