Both Zook and Kiffin can recruit that is for sure.... Time DOES change people if the learn from their mistakes.... If Gruden does bring them (and I still have my doubts) I am ok as long as Gruden is in charge
Analyzing Boro's post...
He thinks today will be the day and is getting a massive party ready in preparation of same. Will watch his son play ball and then come home to a double party in honor of Gruden and his son winning,
He wants us to tip our wait staff in order for them to be able to save enough to go to a game next year supporting the Vols and our new coach, Jon Gruden.
Returning our seatbacks to upright position means the figurative plane is about to land and we should be ready to go.
Soon.
I find both of the names difficult to swallow ... neither seems to be true.... but the information came to me straight up without me even asking....
I don't see how Kiffin would be welcomed either
I'm on the fence w Kiffin. I would definitely be skeptical but would reserve judgment until seeing the product on the field. If there's anyone who could whip him into shape and ensure he respects Tennessee tradition, however, I think it would be Gruden. I think Kiffin has 1) learned a lot 2) is a fantastic coach, and 3) wants to prove he can beat Saban.
I will say it appears Kiffin appears to have been trying to mend Tennessee fences, so it's not altogether implausible to think he's in play.
At the end of the day, if Gruden thinks a Kiffen OC and a Zook DC gives UT the best chance to be successful and the coaches can work together as a team, I'm all for it. I understand the hesitation, though.
