Totally random but I woke up this morning just imagining 2002 Bucs Defense. Would love to see that on Saturdays in Orange.

You were at LNC and now going to Bedlam, what do you do in Oklahoma?

I just moved from Norman back to Knoxville. I miss Torchy's tacos, Hideaway Pizza and the Garage like crazy.

I'm definetly going to UT vs OU in a couple years. Is Norman a cool town? I figure the OU crowd seems like it would be mostly friendly to a visiting Vol fan.

Haha awesome! I noticed you said you were following a reporter around last night. I'm assuming you're in security. Is it a side job or overtime? Just trying to figure out if you're in the same blue line business as me haha.

Event staff side of things, but I wasn't following her around lol

I'm the assistant manager of the branch. I was a cop. Retired and never looked back.

The Garage is okay, but way overpriced. Nice atmosphere though.

Sounds good. I left uniform a while ago. I Just blend in now haha. ;)

Imagine this scenario:
Neyland Public Address Announcer Jeff Jarnigan:
“Ladies and Gentlemen, I have an important announcement form the university Athletics Department. Coach Butch Jones has been relieved of his duties and will not be coaching the second half. Coaching the second half and the remainder of the 2017 regular season games will be Hall of Farmer and former Vols Coach Phillip Fulmer.
Also, ladies and gentlemen, if I could direct your attention to the Jumbotron, our friends at ESPN will have the honor of a very important announcement about the 2018 season”.
(Roll Gruden highlites - Mike Tirico wishes CJG well in his soon to be new position in Knoxville).

Soon.

There is no way CPF is going to do this! It's a nice thought. He is enjoying his retirement, and grandchildren. He does love UT, and would do anything to help. But, he is not dumb, and knows that a current assistant would be WAY more knowledgeable about CBJ's systems, players routine, playbook. You can't ask him to come change all those things in a week, or two. UT is stuck with the system being run now. Until Gruden gets here!

Workout done. Bout to hit the shower. Hubby's working on the deck (expanding) it. Then I'll fix breakfast for us and we'll head north in a couple hours. Starting off a perfect fall day!!

GO VOLS!!!

Oh, P. S., can somebody text me whenever something real happens? Thanks! :dance2: :dance2: :dance2:

I loved Norman and OKC is a lot of fun as well. They loved Knoxville and the people when they came last time.

BabyVol:

I had to officially join the party before this weekend. Just been laying low and sharing intel with @ChattaVol06, @Hutch 7, and a few others. Didn’t want to miss out on some excitement soon

I was on gridscape for years. @Hutch 7 can confirm.

I’ll say this...... MITbeav is not who was outed but he is very connected.... we message daily.
I never said we would get DJ Humphries but I have missed on a few who changed their minds last minute. Trust the process guys....we are way closer than in 2012.

If you guys only knew how close it was last time....that’s the only thing that has me concerned this time. It’s why I won’t be quite so over the top. If it happens I will explain exactly what went down best I can. It’s been so interesting this time!!!

I will once it’s over....but trust me there is a process to the madness. There have been things in the works for close to 5 years now

I won’t go so far as to say a 5 year timeline but the overall story dates back to 5 years ago when certain boosters got blindsided. That started a plan to make sure it didn’t happen again. Quite a bit of time, money, and resources have went in to making sure we get our guy this go round. I don’t pretend I’ll ever know everything that has led up to our next coach getting hired.....but I know enough to trust the process

is the Chosen One in Knoxville this weekend?
He is within a short drive to Neyland Stadium.

Timeline for announcement?
Let’s get thru today and then I’ll answer
Fair enough.

Hopefully it doesn't depend on the outcome of the game?
Has absolutely nothing to do with the game
Welcome back to the party!!! Thanks for the info. Seems legit and whatever and whenever you get info you can share, please divulge it to us. SOON!!!!

She is worthy is being watched though lol

Built like a piece of steel. Former gymnast from Iowa State that's kept in shape. She's got a future in sports broadcasting if she wants it once someone "discovers" her.

Yeah I see what you mean lol..... Now I'm just scrolling through that Twitter account and totally ignoring College Gameday haha

So if Gruden does indeed come to UT. I have some concerns.

1. Can he adapt to the college game?
2. He's been out coaching since 2009, has the game passed him by?
3. Does he fully understand the efforts needed to be successful in CFB and win at the level of Nick Saban. It will require 80 -100 hours of week of work during the season.
4. Can he beat Georgia, Florida, Alabama and the rest of the SEC on a regular basis?
5. Is he willing to deal with an overly zealous and rabid fan base that often have unrealistic expectations?

These are all viable concerns and if your giving him 10 mil a year and he dont produce a SEC Championship quickly? What then?

Great football experience. I've been there twice and enjoyed both times.

Anyone see CBJ interview with Cole Cubric a few minutes ago on SEC channel? He's changed man. His mannerisms, his choice of words, his attitude everything. Could be because of our record. But it also could be because he knows......... Soon!
