This thread is more conjecture than fact, mostly due to the AD keeping things under a gag order. Really wish we had a thread that contains facts only. Or only verified rumors. Also, there is a lot of conjecture concerning the BK concussion discussion. And a lot of blaming entities that are suspected to be part of the decision. No one really knows any of these facts. In fact many of them are contradictory.

It is ok to have an opinion thread, but wish we could just separate the two to have a thread that is factual information only?

This is why it's absolutely silly for people to freak out over "I thought Butch was gone after Carolina! I thought he was gone after Kentucky! I thought he was gone by Tuesday."

Question, yes. Freak out, no. Lots of people have said for a long time, there are a TON of moving parts here, and information absolutely changes the shape of things.

Part of the fun of the thread (at least for thread detectives) is figuring out "hey, what changed? what could have influenced events in a different direction?"

Well guys ... I am going to depart from you for a while..... something has began to smell in this house and I believe it is me.... I better try and do something about that before the old woman divorces me..... try not to drown in the daily downers while I am away

But there is no liability if they suspend him while an investigation is occurring?

The 2nd half video alone would seem to be enough to question negligence. At least enough to take the position that we are not going to risk 1 single player having the same thing happen to them until we get to the bottom of what happened.

Don't you think everyone involved would be super attentive if someone was suspended pending completion of an investigation?

Isn't the University further exposed to liability from negligence if something like this happens again?

Not downplaying player safety AT ALL, but this is the biggest bullet in the arsenal for academics vs. athletics. The eggheads love research $$$, but they also love moral superiority. I thought about that, but the AA side has no leverage in this situation if the reports about boosters forming a unified front on this are true. If the report is untrue and they are more disorganized like they were in 2012, then it could be used as leverage for sure.

Backing the deal, backing the VC, running the information gathering of the pulse of the average fan on Vn!!!! It was said earlier that this would make a great research study. MIT runs a course for this!!!!! Close!

Exactly. When all that stuff about media on alert Sunday evening was breaking, it went nuts when everything just stopped cold. Then, the next day or two brings the concussion aspect that seems to maybe explain that part as to the delay. This has been one heck of a roller coaster. The last 2 weeks have felt like a complete blur.

Bring us GRUDEN!!! I said earlier what this school means to me personally..as it does others...I am shaking!!!

It's the journey that is AMAZING!!!
