I know I'm not going to convince you, and that's fine. I'm not saying any of those 15 guys are "sure" things -- I'm saying the sitting P5 coaches are "surer" things than a Frost or other G5 coach. Frost is only in his 2nd season as a HC. Rich Rod has won 4 conference titles and been to 3 BCS/NY6 bowls, and taken Arizona to their 3rd best season in program history. He's a much "surer" thing than Frost is at this point, even though Frost may have miles and miles of more potential upside.

And like I said in a different post, I think it is a moot point on Frost because we aren't going to be higher than 3rd on HIS list, and one of Nebraska or Florida is likely to take him anyway. If UCLA, Texas A&M or some other places were to open, there is a good chance we may not be in HIS top 5.

Rich Rod having success at WVU is ancient history at this point. Since 2008 he has had ONE season above 8 wins. ONE..might make it two this year. Also had major recruiting violations while at Michigan and major issues with recruits leaving the program. There is literally no basis to say he is a surer thing then Frost at this point. My whole point, without trying to compare rich rod and Frost, is that if we can’t land a tier one or two power 5 coach then I don’t care where the coach comes from except FCS level.

And you have no idea how his list looks, you very well could be right, but you also could be dead wrong. There are just as many reasons to come here then there are to go to UF or Nebraska. We will find out soon enough.

TIFWIW,

A few nuggets from Mike Huguenin from his UF sources.

Their top 3 in order.
Frost
Taggart
Norvell

Chip Kelly has told UF he isn’t interested.

Dan Mullen isn’t going to Florida.

Just looked at Taggerts Oregon stafff... 👀

If he could take most of those with him he moves up my list toward top.

Gator 247 says Frost top target and Taggart smoke mainly coming Fromm taggart side

Now wait a minute, Chip isn’t interested in Florida?

JMO but with some of the rumors about Chip and the fact that he hates the politics that comes with an SEC job, I’m not surprised. I’m sure he at least gave it some thought and some people said he would be open but I think that’s just a ploy. I just don’t think he has interest in the SEC. I could be wrong though.

I don’t know what it is but something about Fuente just doesn’t get me excited.

I work with a VaTech alum and huge fan. He said that Fuente rarely ever deviates from the initial game plan. Seems to be working so far with Fuente, but that would send so many Vol fans into the loony bin for years.
