Multiple people on VQ stating "Grudens closing on new house by end of the week"

i still hold to the idea of, this week:

1) Freudian slip - final game
2) scarabbeans meeting (?)
3) BOT meetings
4) if in fact gruden is closing on a house
5) if there is any relevance to it, last high school game friday night
6) gruden at the game, meaning he's probably been on campus after 2 & 3 makes decisions

the concussion situation is ugly, don't know what'll happen, but if this scenario is remotely true, currie is just trying to squeak by this week.

again, i am nobody and i know nothing, but this makes sense to me, and it keeps my hope alive.

jg on mnf said, "i miss coaching."
mit said (in so many words) the wait was almost over.

I believe you but good lord that sounds unbelievable lol. This is worse than a circus! I feel terrible for the players having to go through this.

Yeah...I do too. And too many people are willing to blame the players for our on the field issues, rather than the obvious disfunction of this coaching staff....for a majority of the time it's been here.

The clarification I got on that was that the two obvious choices, Hoke and Shoop, hate each other with the heat of a thousand sun's. That is why I was told Stripling is now the choice if they move forward.

It's less that nobody wants it, than nobody wants the other guy to have it.

It's a circus over there right now.

With info drying up the last couple days, would lead me to believe something is about to go down. Whether it be with Butch or something bigger regarding the BK situation.

With an SEC official on the sideline it (playing a player after failing concussion protocol) is taken out of the coach's hands.

I think people are looking for anything to use against Butch.

He was not put in concussion protocol during the game.

At the end of the day, doesn't it come down to whether we're dealing with Rain Main or Gomer Pyle as our AD? We've either got a genius getting ready to lay down the royal flush, or we've got a guy over in the corner eating paste...

Starting to think, he is eating the cards and flushing the glue.

That infuriates me to no end. I listen to WNML at work all day and the people that call in to defend Butch and blame the players are endless. I can't understand that mentality

Thanks for the info you bring btw. I appreciate what you do! :good!:

Several years ago something happened that fundamentally changed the UT AD. Most didn't even notice or care. It, in my opinion is why we are where we are today. I'm not sure of the exact date but the UT AD was removed from the president and placed a rung down on the ladder to under the chancellor. This move removed the autonomy of the AD. It has slowly eroded the AD and is the primary cause for the dysfunction we have witnessed over the last decade.

I agree with this. I also wonder if this could be the hold up. Not on the academic side but in the athletic side.
What if they keep putting jones out there to pressure the academic side into giving back some of the control to the athletics like it use to be. Saying gruden will not do the deal unless this happens and if it doesn’t everybody will know why butch or google coach are here. Maybe gruden cares, maybe not, but the donors and the athletic department do and right now they have a very big carrot to get the academics to do as they wish.

All pure speculation on my part. No insider info.

I think the deal is done. now it is time to see what else they can achieve with this deal.

SOON

Circus seems to be a good description.

Just seems to me, if Currie wanted to get rid of Butch and hasn't because of an interim issue, it's "the greatest show on earth".

Anyway, I look forward to some answers.

Shout me down if you want, I don’t buy all this cloak and dagger, power struggle stuff. I know it has been referenced ad nauseum in this thread and even by guys like Basilio. It is a convenient conversation piece when “information” slows down and we haven’t gotten the immediate actions we are anxiously anticipating.

Anyone who thought Gruden was going to be announced mid-season was probably naive. But that’s what all of us desperately want...Butch fired and Gruden named the new HC in the same press conference. But the truth is, that sounds ridiculous and was never going to happen. So in our angst what happens? Conjecture centered on a perceived enemy to our greatest desires...in this case Haslam. If you aren’t getting what you want, the natural mental progression is to find an object of blame and cast aspersions on said object.

I believe Gruden has already committed to be our HC or he has said no. If he has committed, there is an understood timeline and Butch is the human shield until said timeline is complete. If he said no, Currie is trying to find the new HC and Butch is the human shield to keep people off Currie’s back.

**Apoarently yesterday on his Outkick FB Live, Clay Travis said the chances are VERY GOOD is Gruden being the Tennessee coach.

VQ poster saying closing on house this week- "What I heard but can't confirm is that house wasn't on the market until the Gruden's wanted to move here. It's the house they stayed in one or two of the nights when they 'visited'

If no one else thinks that right there isn't telling enough (staying with Haslam). Don't know what to say. Again, I don't know that'll he'll be our coach, but I know for damn sure he wasn't purchasing houses in Knoxville in 2012"

He was not put in concussion protocol during the game.

If Kendrick told the coaching staff but not the medical staff he was hurt, which is likely imo, it isn't hartd to see how this happened. The only way he finishes that game is if the medical staff never knew he was hurt. That simple.

If it played out that Kendrick told the OL coach, and the coach said to keep it to himself and keep playing, fire everyone involved for cause, including Butch.
