Just claim you didn't have intentions to get over the limit. And your moderation of drinking was gross negligence

Others with connected friends parrot the same. I hope part of the struggle here is a shift in the big money and power they hold. If enough high level boosters present a united front do you believe they are capable of forcing the spread of power between the group?

If the majority of high level boosters are on board and leaked that Haslam was the problem, it could force his hand. They don't want that publicity with Bill having apirations to go further in politics.

Several years ago something happened that fundamentally changed the UT AD. Most didn't even notice or care. It, in my opinion is why we are where we are today. I'm not sure of the exact date but the UT AD was removed from the president and placed a rung down on the ladder to under the chancellor. This move removed the autonomy of the AD. It has slowly eroded the AD and is the primary cause for the dysfunction we have witnessed over the last decade.

Actually the Beav said dont be surprised when its all said and done if Currie doesnt try and act like this was all his doing when it was the opposite.

I agree, and also believe if there is some big hold up, Gruden will not be waiting long.

No argument there.

I just don't want this to be a black eye on the university. Everything in the press involving UT right now is negative. I also care about the safety of the players. At the end of the day, they're kids giving their all to a college football team. I hope if Butch is in any way involved it is handled swiftly. If he's not, then he shouldn't be the one to pay for it, but being the HC he should know everything going on, on the field and on the sideline.

The observer is in the press box with good view of field and sidelines, sees an issue, contacts the replay official, reviews the video, if the observer notices something they contact the ref. Ref stops play and pulls the player out for team medical staff to evaluate. Coaching staff has no say so

Exactly. I'm not sure what these people are referring to when they're suggested Butch played him knowingly.

if the booster coalition doesn't get gruden, and they indeed pull their support, where's the money going to come from to do all this renovation? Haslam? $300+ million from one guy? He indeed may have it, but that's asking A LOT.

Locking the BOT in to that large contract is also a good way to leverage the NEED for those booster dollars.

Essentially: "well guys we got all these expenditures coming, we really need to consider the increased revenue and donations that weve been offered if we bring in Gruden"

But only after theyve signed off on the reno.

Interstingly enough is also this, the reno revision is expected to save 10mil....

Just going to depend on if what Beaver says is true and Boosters refuse to donate or if they crack under pressure
