You can want Gruden and still be realistic AND dislike the trolling and fake "sources" for attention posters.

we will see won't we.
until then your opinion is just as FOS as my blind faith.
bottom line is we have no idea who knows what, and i suspect that is true even at the highest levels. That is why they are called negotiations.

I can't lie, after Curries comments last night....my confidence is at an all time low with this deal. We have been yearning for some type of sign, statement, anything and what we got was an "everything is fine, no worries, our football team rocks, Rome is not burning"type of statement. He can't be this dumb, right? Surely? I'm not giving up hope, Gruden is our guy and that is truly all I want at this point. He is the catalyst that will get this program moving in the right direction. I just can't help but wonder if Currie is the genius or the fool

Do you know what a troll job is? Intentionally posting things about good things coming early this week right after the Kentucky game, don't play stupid. Just calling balls and strikes. You knew at the time you posted exactly how that info would be taken.
And you have proof that I know this? Thats sounds more like your opinion. Its people like you that question every bit of information that is brought here by anyone else. Be it Boro, MIT, DTO,etc.... you hang on every word, take it apart, look for anything you can find to discredit it in any way shape form or fashion.

Therefore I question you and the others that come here only to tear apart statements to look for fault. The people commenting here only want the best for Tennessee. Yes there are a lot of people bringing information here that DO have contacts with the BOT, AD and other sources. There is more going on behind the scenes that you or I even know.

You are a fine example of Burger King people, You want it fast and you want it your way.

And have a nice day! I am.

I disagree. Currie has handled the last 3 weeks very poorly. Even his interview last night was ridiculous. You could take Shoop's comment lastnight to Rucker and apply it to Currie's interview. Nobody's stupid, we know what is going on.

Currie thinks he is being coy and cute but he has his hand flipped backwards and we can see his cards.

The big question: Is he holding Aces or a Six high? Only time will tell.

People bring that up but how do we know that he's stopped recruiting? Has any current commitments come out and said they haven't heard from any of the coaches in weeks?

Or what about the ones who have already decommitted? Did they mention anything like that? He might not be going all crazy like he has before but there's not been real proof that says he hasn't

Pretty sure it's been discussed on here that the AD isn't letting this staff host official visits.

CheckTheTape sells a much more plausible scenario than Beaver and would more closely match what the Hyams/LWS/JAV's of the world are selling and being told.

No, not a "much more" plausible scenario.

I don't believe he knows anyone. I believe he was using that to validate his opinion. His opinion is why most don't buy into Gruden becoming real.

IMO.

I'm not sold on the fact that its being denied, by anyone. Everyone could be in agreement and just waiting to meet and finalize it.

I agree - I think that AND announcement timeline (per ESPN or whomever) are the final two pieces of this puzzle.

I’m sorry but how in the world did what he said make you worry?? It was as vague and empty as anything coach cliche has said this year. He said nothing other than he supports the STAFF and PLAYERS and he and Jones have a good relationship and meet weekly. Even Bob tried to ask the same question in 3-4 different ways and he kept it very vague.

no need for that.

so rather than take my advice, you continue to pound sand in an effort to make him look like a troll, and yourself look like what?

why not just put him on ignore, so you don't have to read his troll posts?

what's so hard about that?
you're not helping anyone by "exposing" him as a troll.
you're hurting yourself.

i'm not saying anything else about it.

I'm not saying he's a troll but this particular incident was indeed a troll job. When nothing happened yesterday he replied "it's what you wanted to read in to it" or something similar. He didn't say he got bad info or that maybe things changed since he got info, so that tells me something about his intentions when he posted it over the weekend.

Like I said, we can be full grude, and we can also call things for what they are. We don't have to believe all things grude even when we know they are false.

I think that's a pretty level headed approach.

People need to lay off OV quick fast and in a hurry.
So what if his posts mislead your hopeful and fragile little heart?
The man has bled for the Big Orange and most likely to this day still feels the pain from doing so.
Show him respect or in the words of the great knucklehead, GTFO!

Well, one major thing is that it took him this long to address anything else besides our tennis program. And when he does come out and say something , he sounds oblivious. And yes, vague.

Through what all you’ve posted you just validated pretty much everything that MIT and Bubba have previously brought to the board.

As I posted a thread or so ago, folks are to busy trying to identify tree species in each post and losing sight of the forest. What is currently trying to happen on the Hill is more than a coaching change, it’s a shift in thought, a shift in power, a shift in sop and a major change in the overall landscape. If the big boosters are totally united in this goal, which is likely a first in and of itself, and their awareness PR campaign is successful, UT may finally be on its way back towards the top of the dog pile. I think, and hope, the Academics side soon realizes that without major funding the power they feel they wield is nothing more than smoke and mirrors.

I've wondered if Butch still being here isn't an Exhibit A to the BOT/AA, showing them in real time the result of a pissed off, disgruntled fan base and the repercussions thereof.

One of us is not understanding the other.

In the simplest form.

I believe the donor side and Gruden side are ready to go.

The AD side may not be. Maybe they are, but if this deal doesn't go through, its gonna be om the AD side.

As I said, this is not the best analogy on the whole situation, there is so much more involved. But just trying to give my opinion on why its not "done" yet.

Still catching up but this is kinda close to where I am on this... The only difference is I believe there is a hold up with the Academic side as well.....

There are still hurdles to jump... but looks far better than 2012..... One reason, the Boosters and Gruden both learned some things and should be able to better put together a successful plan

I'm certainly no damsel in distress.

However, in text tone must be inferred based on wording and punctuation. The true sign of a gentleman is to instinctively stand up for any woman he sees being attacked. Conversely, the most sure sign that someone is not a gentleman is if he attacks a woman.
