The fact the UTAD has the gall to charge over $100 for single game tickets. The fact that there must be fans out there who will actually pay that much for this product, is all you need to know. The UTAD has no reason to think big. The UTAD has no reason to pay a big buyout to fire a coach and go after that big fish. As long as the customers keep paying Filet Mignon prices for a sirloin product everything is all well with the UTAD.
The powers to be have to be laughing when they their meetings before the season deciding on the price points for tickets and donation requirements. UT fans will pay whatever no matter what. You can talk all you want about an empty stadium against USM. It doesn't matter, those tickets have already been sold. No one I know of, no one, will ever stop buying their season tickets. Even if Butch was the coach for the next 20 years.
