I am of the opinion that if he finishes out the year it's because it's beneficial to John Currie financially, or from a timeline standpoint with his hire. I don't like it, but it could happen. Trust the process is all we can do.

I've also had thoughts along that line. Gruden currently has a job and probably contractual obligations to fill.

I have struggled with catching them on Norris. It’s a totally different animal than Chickamauga or Kentucky which I grew up fishing.

He used to be a decent sportswriter.
His love for Butch is hard to fathom.
Finebaum is friends with Griffith. But, Paul had Mike on his show last week and told him he was flat out wrong to defend Butch.

I also seen that. Don't remember the names but Griffith came up with some off the wall replacements for Butch. Finebaum pretty much laughed at him.

Difference from VolReporter and MIT_BEaver is this, Reported was a new poster when he posted and iirc he was just signed up. Beaver has at least a two year sign up date.... If a troll he had planned this for two years

My thoughts on the situation (no sources or secret identities involved).

I think that every day that Butch coaches is a good day for the Grudenites. Here's why. IF CBJ is fired (which I believe he is/has been), an AD would want to make that public as soon as he could in order to start talking with agents and setting up search committees. If it is NOT made public, that tells me there is "A" target involved and we are trying to make it happen. If you make the firing public and things drag on, you run the risk of seemingly losing your top target(s) and thus looking like the job isn't as attractive when you end up with the perceived 5th in line.

Of course, all of the above could be trumped by the reason that we have an incompetent administration. We have sung that song before, and I hope we aren't singing the 3rd or 4th verse of that song now.

^This... And exactly why I think the week of November 27th will be the reckoning for BJ time at Tennessee. SOON!

My biggest gripe with the Gaulden issue is since when is making a gesture to the crowd (albeit it was the double bird) a penalty?

Kelly didn't do the chomp in the face of a UF player and Gaulden didn't do the double salute to a Bama player.
