My thoughts as well..... many a deals have fell through at the last minute for various reason.... but that doesn't make MIT a troll even if it does/did


One thing that keeps from being 90% or more is he told DTO his information was running bout one day behind... Beaver was in west coast I think, seems if anyone would be one day behind information out of Knoxville it would be Beaver.

I don't think physical location has an inkling of importance here.

I'll also add that OldVol75 had a pretty interesting FYP about 7:30 this morning. I'm hoping smooth sailing ahead - it's really the only potential speed bump I see (academics/admin). If that side of the equation is diff now than 2012....!!!! & Boro, I haven't forgotten one of your earliest comments in the Gruden threads when u listed aligning stars (Thornton Center).

Long story short Beaver got Dox'ed on TOS by Hutch and tbey figured out who he or she was and he has since went lurking and all of his or her posts have been deleted. Beav was vetted by Atlanta Vol before he was Dox'ed and he confirmed Beav is legit and his info is good.

Any poster reporting Gruden was coming 5 years ago or during this upcoming cycle of UT football coach was promoting vaporware, a neverwas, a neverwouldbe, a fantasy. If you bought it five years ago, okay the trolls did a great job with it (seeing signed contract with own eyes, swearing on this or that), I was in that bucket with you. However if you were there for that and were buying the same BS this time around and NOT warning the new rubes about the first screwjob the Grudenitetrolls pulled then it's on you not me.

I think AV is probably not as concerned with being outed b/c he's already given enough info out that anyone in the know probably knows who he is. Also he's not the one leaking tons of info. But I understand he probably won't post here again for some time if ever. Great guy tho I appreciate everything he's brought

He was on the Cole Cubelic show(Huntsville, Al) this morning saying that Currie has no intentions of replacing Butch and that if he goes 8-4 or 7-5 he will keep is job. He also said that Tennessee is lucky to have Butch and that they won't be able to get anyone better.

Why does academic excellence and athletic excellence have to be mutually exclusive?

Why can't the University strive to be excellent in everything?

Agreed....top schools in academics have been successful in athletics as well. And they are mutually beneficial. Alabama (which is not known as a highly academic standard school) is seeing a higher application rate, which is allowing them to me more selective. Success of their athletic program has increased interest in the school.

This is not attacking you or any who were trying to connect the dots as to who MIT was, but...........I don't understand the overwhelming need to try and play detective to find out if someone is trolling or if they are telling the truth. Its the internet and even if you knew a person was who they said they were, doesn't mean what they are telling you is correct or even truthful. The only way to know if a person is legit is with time. Have seen so many trying to figure out who MIT was and seen so many trying to discredit him because they thought he was fos, when there isn't any way at all to know until we see Gruden or another coach at a PC accepting the job. I think many just try to bend over backwards trying to discredit someone on here instead of just enjoying it and seeing is as what it is. Whether or not we believe a person like MIT is legit or think he's the biggest troll on the planet, has absolutely no bearing on what happens with our head coaching position in the next couple of months.

It's good man. I completely agree and in hindsight I should have known better, but I was just having fun with it. I never tried to actually identify him, just his source. He even poked fun at my stupid post and said it was fun watching all of us and our theories. He didn't get mad until someone threw a name out to identify him. I stopped at that point.

I think most on here we're trying to figure out his connection to validate whether he was legit or trolling. Not do much his actual identity. Someone mentioned a certain name and that's when he said to stop or he'd stop posting. Everyone stopped here when he said it. That dic* on TOS ruined it for all of us.

When did it become your role to validate someone's connections? It's a message board you can either believe what someone posts or not that is the extent of a message board and the whole premise of it. Not sit outside someone's house dressed like a house plant or poke eye holes in a newspaper.

I think if he deal is done as MIT Beaver says, then Butch will be gone at the end of the season rather than mid-season barring a bad loss to Kentucky or So Miss and Currie believes that an interim has a better chance of winning than CBJ.

While I believe he has largely been a tool the AD has used in the past, if this is true and a 7-5 year keeps Butch, then I, along with what appears to be thousands others, won’t renew season tickets.

Then let’s see how the stadium looks.

Geez. I mean, we gonna ride that horse all the way back down to zero talent on the roster again? Didn’t we learn before with Fulmer that you want to leave the next coach some talent, or the rebuilding process will leave you with limited coaching interest and another 5-year rebuild????

My thoughts on the situation (no sources or secret identities involved).

I think that every day that Butch coaches is a good day for the Grudenites. Here's why. IF CBJ is fired (which I believe he is/has been), an AD would want to make that public as soon as he could in order to start talking with agents and setting up search committees. If it is NOT made public, that tells me there is "A" target involved and we are trying to make it happen. If you make the firing public and things drag on, you run the risk of seemingly losing your top target(s) and thus looking like the job isn't as attractive when you end up with the perceived 5th in line.

Of course, all of the above could be trumped by the reason that we have an incompetent administration. We have sung that song before, and I hope we aren't singing the 3rd or 4th verse of that song now.
