I agree, i would too!

Is your favorite thing making you as miserable as it has made me this year?

Absolutely, my first year at UT was 1997, Peyton Manning’s senior year… My second year was our national championship in 1998… I never thought I would see the day that our program would be at the point it is.

I don't care what MIT's agenda is, I still want him/her to post, so can we stop trying to ID? I can see why ppl say his posts remind them of VolReporter (I was here in 2012 but didn't remember that name but have since read that other thread showing VR's comments). I am one of the ones who believed Gruden was coming back then. There was one theory posted back then that boosters had put the deal together & Hart balked. I believe that's what happened. My hunch now is that we're past that hurdle with Currie & hopefully with Bev et al. AA-AD environment was more toxic then, but I think some of those grudges are still there (& really academics vs sports is a tale as old as time) so this could still fall apart. I think deal being "done" meaning all have agreed but signatures aren't on paper yet. I'm still puzzled by timing of announcing Butch's departure (I believe insiders who said he's been told).

I like you..can I add you to my friend’s list?? Us ladies have to stick together.

curious why you ask?
Have non football question, this isn't the place for the discussion though.

I'm all in for The Beav at this point. He's been right about the misinformation, now the former vols tweets. IDK i just have a gut feeling he's not playing us. I think the major hangup is the boosters not wanting to pay out the rear for the buyout and they're working some other things before he's fired. I'll roll with that until someone else is announced at the HC

That is definitely my hope as well. I have wanted Gruden to be the head coach at UT for a very long time. I am praying that nothing derails it this time.

I can’t speak for Charlie Ergen, but as a VFL if I was worth $18 billion, I would write a check for whatever it takes to buy Butch out and fund Gruden for 5 years at $7.5M per... TIFWIW :)

I mean, what good is it having all that money if you can’t enjoy your life… And Tennessee football is my favorite thing in the entire world.

That’s like 0.00166666666% of his fortune LOL

The vast majority of his wealth is likely in assets. Not cash.

Hard to say what percentage of his available cash it is

Well? Misinformation or no clue? Charlie tweeted he though Gruden liked his current gig

As much as my heart wants to believe the misinformation angle to all of this, my brain keeps telling me "gtfo." Seems like a major undertaking to disseminate misinformation to that many ppl.

And still, I hope...

I love this thread, it has helped me get through a rough few days. I have read all posts and my main takeaway is, right or wrong, The Beav has balls like this

once some misinformation would start the public would jump in and add to it as well.

speculation=misinformation

This is hilarious seeing as this is exactly what MIT has said would happen lol.

Umm, didn't Beaver predict this as well (re: Garner's tweet)

The beav makes a appearance lol. Believe him or not. Two things he has said have came true. There was a FLOOD of different information coming out soon after he said a misinformation campaign would happen. And that’s several tweets by VFL referencing a change coming with the latest coming from someone with a direct tie to Gruden.

Ever buy a new car and then all of a sudden, every where you go - you see the same make and model.

In actuality - there really aren't any more Honda Accords on the road than before you the day you bought yours. You're just more aware and therefore you see them more.

VFLs have been tweeting about the direction of VOL football for years... .and our Athlethic department has been operating a misinformation campaign for the greater part of the last decade.

Lulz.

Wouldn't surprise me to learn that the Beaver is actually.... a female.

IMO if we don’t hear about a team meeting occurring in the next hour or so from a reliable source there is no way he is gone today...I mean would they fire him without a team meeting first to announce it? But wait Currie is probably at a tennis match.

Wealthy people don't donate cash, they donate appreciated stock which I bet he has a ton of. Now, how much of that is tied up in performance shares and incentives is another story

BREAKING: a VFL from the 1998 Championship team just tweeted a picture of a bowl of cheerios.

"Cheerio" is a british term usually referring to a farewell. Butch is definitely gone today!!!! MIT said this would happen!! SOON

..... you do see how ridiciulous this is getting, right?
