Gruden already said this summer he did not want to coach college
Jon Gruden wont coach college because of NCAA: "Id probably have you in deep, deep trouble if I was your coach
Jon Gruden: If I became a college coach Id probably (be) on probation in 4-5 weeks. Too many rules, man. I like to work

Nope, I've been too involved here to even contemplate your lowly requests.
I'll go check it out.
Yeah that and grow up fans of other teams because they're embarrassed to say they're a TN fan. I used to never see Bama fans where I live. The orange was always represented. They're everywhere now. smh
Here is a question for LWS- If we made a Saban-esque offer, and he rejected based on the grounds of not wanting to ruin friendships, what is left to offer top tier coaches?
Saban had a few reasons besides money to go to Bama, but money was the main reason. Gruden has a few reasons to choose Knoxville besides money, and apparently the money was there. So, what is not attractive about this job?
I never felt in 2012 that Gruden had any desires to coach college football and that was still my feelings this time around. All week last week I was at less than 5% chance (on volquest message board) him being the coach. Just felt that was the case.
Why people are relaying the reason you mentioned I do not know unless Gruden is telling them that rather than he doesn't want to coach college.
What I don't understand is how we went from wonderful Gruden rumors even from people who had previously said that wouldn't happen to he's not coming because the Haslams want him at Cleveland (per Hutch). When just yesterday Hutch said to "relax". Gruden doesn't want to coach in college I know LWS has said multiple times yet we give him a Saban like offer twice? And now we go from backing up the Brinks truck to falling way down our list already. Something does not make sense here. And all the while we still have a head coach who hasn't been fired or resigned. What the hell is going on?!

This is probably the worst I've felt about UT football since 2001. Ever since that LSU game, where LSU kept running the same play over and over, and LSU coaches were up in the box giggling "Do it again, do it again" I have had a lot of apathy towards UT football.
And the Bama loss was the least of the problems. That's saying something. You also got stuff like this:
There is going to be (and already is) a whole generation of kids that don't know that Tennessee football can be really damn good, so they are going to settle for mediocrity. That hurts.
