But DTO said that was turned down???im so damn Confused. There's no way Peyton would agree to become GM with the browns and gruden accepts the HC spot. That's total backstab and I don't see Peyton doing that

Remember when DTO offered the info about shocking news and the Beaver told him his info was a couple of days behind? Could this be the same scenerio? This seems like old news... maybe hutch is just now hearing it?? I don’t know y’all. The would be an ultimate kick to the groin.

This has been in the back of my mind. I remember Gruden saying the Browns were his favorite team growing up. With his connection to Haslem through Tennessee it just has seemed like a place he might go if he wanted back in the NFL. But I also seem to remember him saying the only 2 college jobs he would consider were Tennessee & Notre Dame so who knows

Don’t know much about personal things. My life has always been perfect. Always liked you, hope everything turns out well. If you came back to enjoy all the “I told you so” cred, I don’t think your lot in life will be improved. Reader did his own thing and sometimes I agreed with the basic tenets. Best analogy is that I generally vote Republican but the nutjob right wingers are WAY AHEAD of me...not my “sidekicks”. :) Regarding sjt, it doesn’t take much to be a prophet in this age. You can get certified online in fairly short order. Just spout off like you know all the answers and multiquote every dissenting response...prophet.

Turned down their original offer does not mean that the Browns doesn?t come back with a second... just like UT did

He went to college in Dayton, OH. Dayton is split between the Browns and Bengals. Since the Bengals are the newer team, folks 50+ grew up Browns fans in OH.

Hilarious this has devolved into a Browns head coaching thread. Think about that for a minute. The rumors are moving to the realm of not even being 1% believeable.

Ok.. gotta go put a few hours in in the jobsite.

A couple new rules to let you guys know about...

1. No new info until I get back. Got it? Everyone quote this post every so often to make sure everyone knows.

2. If you don't have something relevant to say, don't post it. I don't want to come back to 72 pages of crap. Takes too long to catch up.

Now just follow the new rules and me and ape won't have to make any visits.

Btw.. I know some people who know some people who know some people that know Freak. I can have you banned like that "snaps fingers".

When we did this in 2012 there was some Intel that Gruden's access to inner workings of NFL teams was granted because of a clause in his ESPN contract that stated he couldn't coach in the NFL for a certain period of time after working at ESPN. I don't know if that was true then or if it is true now. But it would eliminated this version of mass hysteria.
