Have 14 season tickets in Section B. All about the 35 yard line. Have had season tickets since 1976.

Know many people in the athletic department. Don't talk with as much anymore as I did even 5 years ago. Over the 50 years (starting going in 1965) I have been going to UT games I have made hundreds of friends that are fans of Tennessee and much closer to many in the athletic department than even I am. That is the reason I don't have to stay plugged into the AD as much anymore. I rarely have to call people for information. Lot of people contact me and keep me up to date.

I have many friends in the media. Hubbs, Lewis, Brice, Rucker, Low, Callahan to name a few. Have known most several years and some a decade or more.

Was close with Coach Fulmer and assistants on his staff for several years. Still communicate with coach. Know many players and their families going back to the early 90s. Stay in contact with many.

I never post anything from a single source. Has to be more than one and those sources independent of each other. I have posted things in the last 20 years that UT has called me about. Multiple times. Stuff they didn't like.

On a side note, I didn’t realize the field of IT had even been around 48 years...what was a job in IT like when you first started?

Or, better yet, talk to someone who is relatively close to the program (not a true Insider, but someone who is close) and you might hear money was an issue.

Regardless, he was on the hook last time and something derailed it.

Don't know LWS...and DTO and I have spoken. We just haven't heard the same stuff lately. He may be completely correct, but nobody I've talked to says anything similar. I'm simply in the wait and see mode like everyone else. I think it's obvious, having stepped back for a couple of days that there is a lot of misinformation floating around....you just don't know whose.

I for one am tired of the bull**** on the hill. Any and all competent schools with a truly functioning ad would have canned his ass already. Coach after coach these idiots are running this program. I dont believe a fig fish is in the line, I think the Boosters want all the control on who gets hired. A big name will never kiss the boosters ass. Whish tells me we are fishing in the kiddy pool

It's because I don't like lies or liars. When I see someone bringing numbers at this point, I know for a fact they are either lying or have been lied to. But I've made my position clear, so now I just roll my eyes when it happens.

Unless...there is a method to his madness. You don't get to be the AD of two P5 schools without having some intelligence (Hammy notwithstanding) and how to make moves guaranteed to put the capital B in Boom.

Honestly, I think this is all calculated for maximum exposure and effect. Can't give you any backing on that, just a gut feeling.

I was just curious about your sidekick. He was such a condescending guy that seemed to start every post telling all of us Butch doubters how intellectually challenged we all were. I remember epic back and forth debates between him and sjt. Good times. I guess in the end sjt has come out looking like a prophet.
As far as my lengthy mia from the boards goes, I have been busy dealing with personal things in my life that were far more important than debating the merits of one Lyle Allen Jones. I am sincerely touched that you have missed me, though.

3. Base some of the BS on already circulating rumors with some added made up twists

As I stated yesterday, the info LWS brought sounds suspiciously like a canary trap. Specific info given to specific person (or persons) in order to track down leaks. The rationale of "he doesn't want to break friendships or possibly lose" just doesn't wash with a lot of people. But it is easily identifiable if/when it got out in public.

We are talking about an AD that went as far as to use fax machines outside the university to push correspondence. So, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see little tricks like this being used to figure out who's talking outside of class and who isn't.

Not dismissing anyone's information here, but the reasoning just didn't strike me as what a person who won a Super Bowl would be thinking.
