Ok so I'm backwards. Either way in today's 12 game seasons losing 8 games would also mean winning 4 games, which would break this streak. Same difference.

Currie is either a genius or an absolute idiot right now. I prefer to think the former. There’s no point in keeping butch after usc jr if you don’t already have something in the works. JMO

He may be keeping him because he has nothing in the works or no idea what to do.

No it is not, a game could get canceled and Tennessee go 4-7 and still maintain the never lost more than 7 games in a season title.

I dont get the idea of letting CBJ stay to lesson the buyout money. The Theory in this is kinda stupid. Wont UT lose just as much money as the lss buyout in Ticket Sales, Food, Drinks, ETC. in the next couple of home games. I mean it could add up to millions couldn't it...

When it is said that TN and Ohio State are the only 2 football teams to never have lost 8 games in a season, they aren’t just referring to today’s 12 game system. In that regard, the loss column is the important stat.

OMG. What's the likelihood of a game getting cancelled this year? My point is that we very well good lose 8 games this year, in which case we lose that bragging right. Good Lord.

I have a feeling Jones is just playing the game he has to play to insure the buyout. I have a gut feeling he probably can't wait to be fired. We all know it's time.

My son was at the game yesterday. I didn't see this, I'd already turned off my TV. He told me that on Bama's last touchdown, two VOL defenders were injured, one close to the goal line in front of the student section. Jones walked over to the injured player and a loud repeated chorus came from the Bama student section: "Keep Butch Jones, Keep Butch Jones".

With each week, it get's worse. A firing might be like a mercy killing now.
