You said you've heard the rumor that Currie has talked to Frost. Any reason to believe anything positive came from that? I'm starting to think he'll probably be our best, realistic option. Just hope Nebraska doesn't fire Reilly.

No clue. That's the big key. Would he take the job? I don't think Frost is the only coach Currie has talked to. It seems he wants to be able to go to the Board of Trustees and say 1) here's who is interested 2) here are their resumes 3) here's who I would target.

I believe UT has an agreement with a coaching search company - so I wonder if that contract states they have to have their say as well. Kinda like with the basketball hire even though everyone paying attention knew we had Rick Barnes in our back pocket.

You have to go a long way to clash with TKJr. One of the most polite, polished young men his age I have ever met. But if he is still deep into the team council BS it may happen.

If the searching company needs to have a say and it's different then what Currie wants can't he just say thanks but we're going with this guy

They have the guy they all like now. Dysfunctinal boosters you ask? No, just morally corrupt and racist boosters. But they got their coach who looks more acceptable to them. Herman is a good coach. They will now be fine. Money flows but they spend it as well.

Sure - but I'm sure the board will want to see the results to see how much they line up with Currie's pick. And I think those companies take a little bit of time to come up with a full list. My guess is they're already working on it.

I'm firmly in the Frost camp. I just don't think Patterson or Gruden are that realistic. Haven't heard any kind of rumblings on Kelly so that makes me think he's not really in play either. If we can't get Frost, I just can't think of anyone other than Mullen or Venables that'd I'd feel real good about.

They better be. The wild card this year is the early signing period. Will a current coach leave to get started on recruiting?

We are all on edge because I am sick and tired of all the crap on the hill. How about I just call Jones some names and call it a day. All the things Jones has done are just about out the window for me because keeping him here is just killing it for me. I have been to every game this year but Florida and have tickets to go watch us get humiliated next week. I am tired of giving those on the hill money and they just do not seem to care. I will leave it at that because I could write a book.
