I have figured out the difference in the calls. The being alone time is usually only a day or two. The other is longer, sometimes quite a bit longer. That is the part that is hard to understand. I know it can't be easy on him, but he still keeps on doing it. He says he's doing it for us. Can't someone else do it now? He's too old and doesn't need to anymore, right?
Think we are going to have to start watching out for APSU in instate recruiting with the 3* guys....number 1 recruiting class in the FCS in past two years and Will Healy has completely turned the program around. They are 4-1 in the FCS this year after not winning a game for past 4 years. Oatswal was a 3* QB they got from Brentwood and he is leading this team on the huge turn around.

TCU wont let Patterson go. We would have to be north of $6.5M, most likely even higher, for even consideration.
If Patterson is our # 1 and I believe he stays at TCU then we will end up with another underwhelming hire.

I think Patterson may be a harder pull than Gruden.
Expressed my opinion on him. Hes set and already a legend in a championship level program. Treating him as a hypothetical candidate, Id say hed coach the hell out of the existing talent and transform the program...as homerun hires do. At some point his recruiting style will clash with our nationdom star gazers. His core is Texas 3 stars who get coached up and some skill players rated higher in high school. Most likely would dominate our ever improving state talent at the #1 school, but Id worry about Florida and Georgia. Might improve our lot in Louisiana. Recruiting wise hes not an instant success imo. Kids will know his name and the tough characters will gravitate but he wouldnt save our next class. Long run of course is a dominant hire that would endure some impatient grumbling from our noted patient fanbase.Back to reality.
