OK. I guess I'm done for the day. 5 field goals I guess was good enough.

Edit: Oh yeah. There was a TD. Those missed extra points are confusing.

Coaches alma maters aside...

I really hope the rumors are true and that Butch is gone tomorrow.

Bring on Gruden or Frost or Patterson or Kelly.

What rumors?? From reliable sources??

If so, I'm all in on Chip Kelly!

I have figured out the difference in the calls. The being alone time is usually only a day or two. The other is longer, sometimes quite a bit longer. That is the part that is hard to understand. I know it can't be easy on him, but he still keeps on doing it. He says he's doing it for us. Can't someone else do it now? He's too old and doesn't need to anymore, right?

You need to search his posts. He’s offended every one of us in one way or the other. :)

J/K he’s the best. Good man you landed there.

Think we are going to have to start watching out for APSU in instate recruiting with the 3* guys....number 1 recruiting class in the FCS in past two years and Will Healy has completely turned the program around. They are 4-1 in the FCS this year after not winning a game for past 4 years. Oatswal was a 3* QB they got from Brentwood and he is leading this team on the huge turn around.

What’s the buyout on their coach?? Asking for a friend.

I get the sentiment, but APSU could win the FCS National Championship 20 years in a row and they still wouldn't be a recruiting threat to us.

TCU won’t let Patterson go. We would have to be north of $6.5M, most likely even higher, for even consideration.

If Patterson is our # 1 and I believe he stays at TCU then we will end up with another underwhelming hire.

Yep. He will get a fat raise out of this. I hope Currie is smart enough to not get played like Hart did.

Nope.

Go Peay

I think Patterson may be a harder pull than Gruden.

Expressed my opinion on him. He’s set and already a legend in a championship level program. Treating him as a hypothetical candidate, I’d say he’d coach the hell out of the existing talent and transform the program...as homerun hires do. At some point his recruiting style will clash with our nationdom star gazers. His core is Texas 3 stars who get coached up and some skill players rated higher in high school. Most likely would dominate our ever improving state talent at the #1 school, but I’d worry about Florida and Georgia. Might improve our lot in Louisiana. Recruiting wise he’s not an instant success imo. Kids will know his name and the tough characters will gravitate but he wouldn’t save our next class. Long run of course is a dominant hire that would endure some impatient grumbling from our noted patient fanbase. :) Back to reality.

Yup back to reality. Patterson ain’t leaving TCU and both Gruden and C. Kelly are more plausible options. Gruden may not come here and I can live with it but Gruden would have a Carroll/USC and Saban/Alabama type of impact for UT. C. Kelly would be the next closest and it’s a distant 2nd. I would put Patterson 3rd in the impact list. Ironically, Patterson would be the toughest pull though.
