It comes down to butts in seats and recruiting neither have dropped off yet. So until it does everyone is pissing in the wind.

Bruin, you're telling me that Butch could go 6-6 and could possibly support him coming back.

That means losing to Vandy and South Carolina in addition to UGA, FL, Bama, and LSU.

Please explain that to me.

Pretty sure Bituli was a big time tail back in high school. Remember watching him play a couple times and he punished people out there.

I don't think breaking in a new QB is the year for demanding progress.
As long as the steps back aren't monumental I am all for giving him next year with the way he is recruiting.

Mullen (doubt he leaves Starkville at least he knows what it ls like to face Bama every year)

Mason (I know but stranger things have happened. Will be interesting to see how their season goes, He would raise the bar with the Vol's resources and is destined to leave Vandy)
Venables ( Clemson's DC) - Knows what it takes to succeed at this level.
Jeff Brohm - star is rising
Shoop - If he wants to get back into coaching

Just want a coach that doesn't lose to teams we are better than, loses only to teams we are worse than, and beats at least 50% of the teams we are equal to. For this season, that would mean:

GT - win
ISU - win
UF - 50/50
Umass - win
UGA - 50/50
USCjr - win
Bama - loss
UK - win
S. Miss - win
Mizzou - win
LSU - 50/50
Vandy - win

9-3 or 10-2.

I watched the BUTCH JONES SHOW, and they (of course) only highlighted the good plays. That said, the team and stats looked much better than you felt like they were when watching the game.

IF they can clean up the mistakes and fix the bad coaching calls (and Butch addressed that and realized there was problems--I didn't hear him throwing anyone under a bus) then maybe we can be the team we should be.

I'm done being negative for now. Will evaluate again after Georgia. Go VOLS.

The real problem is it shouldn’t have come down to one play in either game. Both games we were the more talented team. Both games we had questionable playcalling and gameday choices. It’s on the coaches.

We had more talent than FL. UGA and LSU have more talent.
