He also hesitated on an RPO. The play where it looked like Chandler tried to take the ball from him was an RPO. He waited too long to make the decision. Almost caused a fumble and threw the ball too late. Refs didn't call it, but OL is run blocking on RPO's so the QB has to get rid of it quickly or it's an illegal man down field.

However, this is what you expect from a RS FR. Players make mistakes.

Edit: Here is the play.

Actually the RG should have had a flag thrown. He was at least 5 yards downfield before JG threw the ball.

And he stared the receiver down the entire time. Safety had a slow jump if he was a step faster would have jumped the route any SEC safety would have took that. BB fails to see JG would have the same flaws any other first time starter would have.

Predictably, JG is as green as a red shirt freshman getting his first live action. Talent is there. Just got to get that experience.

Yeah he will get there with time. With it almost a make or break year don't know if I would put that on him and chance it. The coaches really don't know what they have with him yet. Never been sacked never had a pick never been hit countless times. Granted they don't have much more with Dormady but he has played and been in the system more.

Two take ways from listening to that.

1) I had been worried about a taylor losing the edge with what I thought was wild play against Indiana State. Shoop said they didn't respect the speed of the offesne and setting edge wasn't part of the game plan so that makes me feel much better about that.

2) the part about 35 playing MLB in 4-2-5 didn't sound all that likely to me. He didn't convince me that is going to happen and he even brought up the word politics.
I haven't rest he'd the whole game yet, but on defense it definitely seemed like they hadn't done much preparation setting the edge on her sweeps and were mostly counting on their athleticism advantage to keep them in check.

As for Bituli, Shoop didn't say he'd be starting at MLB in the 4-2, did he? I imagine if we see a lot of 4-2 this weekend Shoop rotates Jumper/Bituli about as much as we've seen him rotating McDowell/Berry at WLB.

Jumper was the MLB basically every play last weekend. Bituli played at SLB and was even subbed out for Bates at times. Not really sure they'd give Bituli the start at MLB unless they were trying to rest him last week and make UF prepare for Jumper (which would be hilarious).

No he didn't say Butili would be the MLB in the 4-2-5. Even said next week the media would be asking why 7 and 35 weren't on field at same time.

Seems crazy to me 35 didn't play some MLB last week but we will see how it works out.

18 carries for 80 yards worries me about JK and his lack of explosiveness for big plays. Not going to win this game on the ground getting 3 yards and a cloud of dust IMO.

No need to worry about JK. Idk if he's gonna be a guy that breaks a lot of 40+ yard runs for us, but he breaks a lot of tackles and does a good job of turning a lot of 4 yard runs into 8-15 yarders.

He didn't get a lot of help from the OL last week, but say he's in there on that 2nd CFA TD, he easily makes that play as well.

Also worth noting that he had 5 receptions for 60 yards Saturday as well. He averaged over 6 yards per touch.

UM was able to gash UF on the ground at times and I don't think they have any RBs who are as good or as explosive as Kelly (though I like their depth at RB overall). Not sure how our two OLs compare (though UM's is very young) though.

I saw somewhere where a reporter tweeted that's Shoop said Bituli would be a MLB in the 4-2-5 looks. I was assuming that video posted had him saying that.

So. . . I don't do a lot of shopping. I went to get some jeans today and felt like I was in a different world.

Can anyone tell me where to get a decent pair of jeans that doesn't have this "flexible" material. I'd really like a pair of regular jeans, but couldn't find a decent cut without the spandex anywhere.

Ariat's. http://www.ariat.com/men-western-apparel-denim

It's really picking the lesser of two evils. You got a years more worth of game film, practice time, s and c. It's a tough choice for sure. You got someone you know but might not have the upside or big play potential vs one you haven't seen in a game and hasn't played a game in 3 years but has more upside with time. Safer choice might be the best this year. With how Dormady overcame adversity in tech and led a big comeback I believe the coaches know what they have in him.

I doubt very seriously that JG could have kept his composure and made that comeback against GT.

They both have their flaws but QD has composure nailed down.

Hubbs tweeted he had been working there and Shoop confirms but certainly doesn't say he is going to be the guy. At least that is the way I interpreted it.

I agree. He does have a lot of work to do. But he def made good decisions at the end and the team def worked amazing the last half plus 2 over times. Doesn't mean Butch still won't pull him to see what JG can do though.
