Doea anyone think this is a factor in his performance at UT? Plenty of people have mentioned that his scheme is complicated and that certain players took a while for the "light to come on" sort of speak

What have you seen of Florida offense makes you think they can score 24?

And their defense is not even in the same league as the last 2 years and we scored more than 13.. even in the swamp. So where is this top 10 D coming from? They gonna borrow it from FSU?

Don't confuse admission standards for a student body to football players. Those schools got in whomever they wanted

I've actually thought this for a while. Maybe his defense for nerd athletes.

I think Shoop just looks like crap statistically because of weird circumstances. Ridiculous number of injuries on defense last year coupled with an offense in the opening game that threw different looks at him than what he'd been expecting all offseason.

That said, it's also probably fair to say that he's not all that he was cracked up to be. A great DC would have found ways to minimize the bleeding last year. He's probably just going to be average here (if he's here long enough for things to settle down and stats to balance out).

The "impermissible benefit" part comes in when Florida gives them new cards after theirs are spent(stolen). That's the part UF is probably concerned about but I doubt they will get in any trouble for it. Probably wise to sit them out until it is resolved though. Especially since those guys are under criminal investigation now.

The guys that reported their cards stolen could be in more serious doo doo. If some of them just sold stuff then those guys will be back sooner rather than later.

I don't know if you guys have seen this. John Adams has us ranked #20 in his AP ballot after week 2 but he's calling out Bob Shoop.

One also has to wonder if the on-going lawsuit Penn St. has against him is causing distractions.

Just watched most of the AU Clem game again while at the gym...
The distinctive difference in the game was O and D lines... period. AU O line couldn't give their Offense enough time and spread to run/pass effectively... Clem's D line was dominating the line of scrimmage...
This is why AL is so dominate-- they have elite O and D lines... We have GOT to upgrade the D line/depth and get consistent play out of our O line (recruiting both) if we truly want to get to the next level.
With an elite O line you have the gaps and the time to run any above average RB for days and eventually your WRs will get separation... Hopefully having Smith and bringing in Mays is the start to this. I don't know what to say about our D line... under-performing and thin on depth in year 5....
