Basically meaning "we can't do it for you, but you probably can while we're not looking."

Look, the time it took him to try to pass out subtle hints could have been better used to just let the people get the damn cars. Why play these games with clues and semantics? I listened to this again, and the guy asked, "What, moving the barricade?" And the cop replied, "Correct, you can't do that." So that goes against what you just stated the cop was trying to hint at. And the civilian again asked on several occasions if they could move it, not the cops.

Why did those two mouthbreathers continue to engage the cop on scene instead of actually hearing "We're leaving soon" and comprehending what he said about making decisions? You see, intelligent people caught on with what he was saying. Ignorant people that want to argue didn't catch on he was telling them exactly what to do. But continuing to argue with the cop that basically told them they could do what they wanted after he left and delaying his departure kept others from being able to GTFO as well.

Had I been there, as a private citizen of course, I would have pulled those two off to the side and said "as soon as you two STFU about this, they'll move on and you can get your car and leave. But if you continue arguing, he can't leave. So, do us all a favor and STFU."

And I'd hope they would be recording me so the world could see how utterly ****ing stupid they look.

Or for the cops to be caught on camera saying take down the barricade to let yourselves out is just unthinkable and illogical?
