I feel the same way. He's been a sunshine pumper sometimes but also extremely critical of Butch other times. He's probably too sunshine pumper at times (like Ty = Jamal) but he's still really balanced and has great perspective.

He also seems to have some serious insider info as well. Jmo from listening to him...

Stolen from FF

From former coach Doug Matthews

"I had the pleasure of watching Charlie Garner and Chuck Webb (who were IMO the best two backs I've seen as a coach) and Ty Chandler is on the same level as those two. It doesn't matter what the official depth chart says, he will be a big part of our offense by the GT game."

Chuck Webb? OMG.

Maybe he means fast as hell and harder to bring down than he looks.

Like comparing a mack truck and ferrari though. Lewis weighed 40lbs, all in his legs, more than Chandler. Stephens/Garner may be a better comparison.

Yeah I'm a HUGE fan of 3 for a few years now.

But I would be cautious to compare any kid that hasn't seen the field yet to the greatest RB to ever wear orange.

Did get me all excited though

It's exciting to think about but Webb was simply amazing. Such a shame we didn't get to see more of the Cobb-Webb.

I hope Chandler turns out to be all that and more but that's like asking Dormady to turn in a Peyton level performance this season.

Last year was one of the worst I have seen in depletion of a depth chart for numerous reasons, and we still went 8-4. 6-6 ain't happening.

6-6 is absolutely in the realm of possibility. Not likely, but possible.

A few injuries to key guys and we could be in a world of trouble.

I just don't see it. Even with the enormous amount of injuries last year we managed 9. I think this year we have better depth at all positions. We lost some stars to the draft but I think we just reloaded.

Feels good to say that for a change..

That has suffered all kinds of injuries along both lines. Finebaum mentioned it today that LSU may be in trouble with injuries

I have been trying to tell y'all that. They may have to start as many as two freshmen in the OL, a unit that was expected to be a strength as recently as this past spring.

Their best defender, Key ... nobody knows when he'll be back on the field, but not for the first game for sure.

Even Guice, as talented as he is ... he is injured right now.
