I could see butch not wanting to deal with the pressure/stress/scrutiny and say screw it and leave if he doesn't get an extension after this year.

Anything less that 8 wins and John Currie should be pistol whipped if he gives Jones an extension. You don't get an extension after 5 years at Tennessee after a 7-5 season.

I've said this before but all I know is it was OBVIOUS from almost the top row of Neyland during the first game against Texas Tech that Lewis was special.

I just knew that what we had in front of him wasn't. Reading preseason magazines and noting his rankings and 220 lbs had me excited...but had to wait.

maybe he is up to the challenge he accepted and wont walk away until the job is done. if not, he's not the man for it anyway.

Stolen from FF

From former coach Doug Matthews

"I had the pleasure of watching Charlie Garner and Chuck Webb (who were IMO the best two backs I've seen as a coach) and Ty Chandler is on the same level as those two. It doesn't matter what the official depth chart says, he will be a big part of our offense by the GT game."

I hope Butch doesn't keep him on the bench like he did Kamara if he's that good.

Not many people in the media that I trust more than Doug but he is a bit of a sunshine pumper. I'd pump the breaks a tad making those sort of comparisons

One thing he hasn't been a sunshine pumped about in his interviews lately is how good Kamara was in the passing game and replacing that. He hasn't mentioned Hurd but he was a huge threat as well in the passing game. He seems worried about that part for our RBs

Yep, im over it, can't wait for season to start and kick some people's ass. Said we have no chance against Florida or Georgia. I just don't see how Florida is gonna be any good. Uga will be good, but I'm one of the few that thinks Kirby smart sucks as a coach. Very happy we don't have him. Mcelwain isn't any good either Imo. When did uk get so good, Tennessee is gonna stomp them again

Rodgers is lucky to have a damn job. Clown
