What in that article Indy posted says he can't shoot? The only thing I saw was it say "I didnt see him shoot much from the outside today but his FT stroke looked solid".

If he didn't shoot much, then he obviously struggles shooting. Why else would he have not shot? Can't say he was looking for teammates, because he had 24 points in the game.

"He attacked the goal relentlessly and was able to get to the rim almost at will."

If that's the case, plus he's a good FT shooter, you continue to do that until the defense stops you...why settle for lower percentage jump shots if you can continue to get to the rim for layups or foul shots?

To open up the offense? That stuff won't work in college. You have to shoot to keep the defense honest. Just find it weird that he didn't take 3 or 4 jumoshots. Nothing really huge, just a point.

Again, if the defense is allowing it then why stop, obviously the offense doesn't need opening up if you're getting to the rim at will. Again, the guy never said he can't shoot, he just said he didn't, two very different statements.

For the Barnes doesn't leave Knoxville crowd...

Barnes and Schwartz just got back from a trip to France and Germany today to see Yves Pons and a couple 2018&2019 recruits as well.

Interesting note, according to 247 rankings and not the composite, Tennessee's 2017 class with the addition of Darrington is ranked #28 nationally and 6th in the SEC.

Not too shabby. A lot will be hinging on this season. Even for recruits, they will be looking to see how our mashup performs on the court, and that will definitely affect their consideration. Anxiously optimistic for me. I think Barnes HAS to take a big step this year in terms of W/L if he's going to convince us that he's full-assing this UT job.
