With no offers at all?

Last week was the phenom hoops qc, here's tweets from the event...

6'8 2018 Ian Steere of Team Charlotte will tear a rim down in his career. Plays so explosively & so powerfully #PhenomQCShowcase

The development of 6'8 2018 Ian Steere (Team CLT) has been vast. High majors should come heavy this summer #PhenomQCShowcase

6'9 '18 Ian Steere (Team Charlotte) might be one of the biggest stock boosters this spring. HM talent/athleticism
#PhenomQCShowcase

Already had multiple calls from Power-5 schools about 6'8 '18 Ian Steere. After this weekend this level feels right for the Team CLT Post

These are all from Jamie Shaw and Rick Lewis who know the Carolina scene better than anyone, they were big Grant Williams & John Fulkerson guys, I'm betting this kid has 15+ offers by end of summer. Fwiw he also holds a Creighton offer.

Thanks. Seem odd only one offer as I hadn't seen creighton.

That's great. Hope we get him.

Siap.

Tennessee reached out to 2017 PG McKinley Wright today. He has received his release from Dayton. Would have made sense to follow Miller to IU but they picked up a guard yesterday and I don't think they have any spots open. This one is worth keeping an eye on maybe.

Most seem to expeft 1-2 spots to open up at Indian with the coaching change, with that said there's a lot of talk that he wants to stay home and play for Minnesota now.

I am curious if there's potentially another roster spot opening at Tennessee, Lamonte Turner didn't join the team at the Volscars last night and while there could be a very good reason I just found it worth nothing. Add in that Tennessee is looking at high school kids, JUCO and graduate transfers and it makes me wonder if maybe he's moving on? To be clear I have heard nothing to support this at all, just kind of looking at things going on and wondering if it's a possibility.

Seems like to me that we are leaning on another 1 possible 2 spots opening up. Seems like Shembari has been tweeting cryptic tweets about some decesions he has to make. Like you said it may be nothing but worth noting.

This has no factual basis, but I think Shembarri thinks he's better than he really is. I DO know that he's one of the guys who doesn't put a lot of time in the gym practicing.

There are 2 or 3 guys left that are connected to Tyndall. If any aren't buying in I'd like to see them leave ASAP. Schofield's suspension seemed to get his attention. I hate that you're suggesting that Phillips isn't working hard to get better. I think that Turner might have been connected to Tyndall too. Those are the upperclassmen leaders. If any aren't putting the team first, none of them are good enough players to put up with any bull**** from them.

I did not say that it did. I said in my post that it may be nothing but worth noting that is all.

Turner committed under Barnes. Tyndall might have talked to him at some point, but he was big on Rob Gray.

Tennessee offered Turner a scholly in June 2014 (while Donnie was the coach) and he made an unofficial visit in Oct 2014. Turner as well as Phillips and Schofield, iirc, have a lot Tyndall on them. Kyle Alexander and Kasongo are all Barnes.

New offer for 2018. Joel Ntambwe. He plays for Team Penny. Plays highschool ball in North Carolina. Not alot out there on him right now. Here is a little write up from the phenom hs summer jam fest.

"I was able to catch a few hours of the Phenom Hoops HS Summer Jam Fest today in Greensboro. Over 15 HS teams competed on 3 courts while being watched by several scouting services and college coaches alike. No player stood out however as much as 6’8? guard Joel Ntambwe for Forest Trail Academy, coached by Antonio Lowe.
Joel just recently came to NC after playing his sophomore year in Kansas. He showed off the entire package today and scored 24 points in game 1 in a big win.
Joel can play up to 4 positions if needed and spent all season last year playing the PG for his team which I saw him do some today. He has the ball handling and passing ability to do so. He uses his height to be able to see over the defense where he delivers on time and on target passes to cutters. He is an unselfish player as well.
He is a good athlete and really fluid as a player. Joel has good length which he uses to contest shots on the defensive end.
I didnt see him shoot much from the outside today but his FT stroke looked solid. He attacked the goal relentlessly and was able to get to the rim almost at will.
After already attracting the attention of most HM programs in Kansas, dont be surprised to see him quickly garner attention in NC and the surrounding southeast."

How about a little info on what's left out there as possibilities for the Vols in this signing period? Such as 4 yr guys, JUCO's, graduate transfers, and such.

So, a 6'8" guard who can't shoot? Great. Lol maybe I read that wrong.

And Dallas it actually says he played PG for his hs team so he may be able to handle the ball. Remember Magic was the same height and played PG for the Lakers and played it in college as well.

Yeah, it could work in the aspect of him grabbing the rebound and taking it all the way.
