What? You want guys with confidence. Just don't want confident guys that are slaw.

Edit: Jacket'd

Him being arrogant isn't the main reason I wouldn't take him. I agree, have to have confidence to be a CB. I'm not picking him because he was bottom of the barrel for 40 times, vertical and bench press for CBs and he has multiple off field issues.

Game tape can only get you so far. Some reporters commented that Tabor looked "out of shape" and "unprepared." Mix that in with his times and scores and I'm not picking him if I'm a GM.

I'm in Ziti's camp on Kelly. IMO he's a good, not great RB that fights hard and runs well in this system. Lacks breakaway speed. Chandler appears more talented, but will not know until he gets worked into it. CFA appears to be a specialty back, not an every down type guy.

Kelly was clocked at like 21.5 mph on topside in a game. 😐😐😐😐

I would love to be able to do a little dance if Tabor went undrafted after all the praise he has gotten. He will probably still get drafted in the later rounds but he has not helped himself at all with his combine and pro-day performances.

Lol, Im sure there would be a lot of us doing that dance! He will definitely still be drafted though. Wouldn't surprise if he still goes 2-3 round. NFL execs are for sure questioning his potential though.

Breakaway speed? Doesn't he have one of the higher recorded MPH oh the team? He was for sure the fastest of the 3 backs.

Wasn't listed on the top 5 40 times board for non-lineman outside the locker room last fall. Kamara was. Byrd was by far the fastest with a sub 4.3.

Personally, I believe he gets to his top speed quickly and has excellent lateral movement. I just don't see the second gear.

Me neither. If he's going to do it he's got to find a level of physical play that he never showed here.

He has potential though. And great size. Somebody will give him a shot I'm sure.

My frustration with Malone is that I've seen that physical play in him before. Give him the ball and he can be very physical. He doesn't like being tackled and he'll fight for extra yards. So I know it's in him.

He almost never plays with that edge when the ball is in the air though. I don't know why. Hope he figures it out though.

Any guy who is as good as John Kelly and rocks a power T on their arm, I am just going to automatically consider elite. 😁

His talent level says 3-5. That being said, if he would have stayed and showed 2 consistent years of right around 1000 yards receiving he may be looking at a better grade. Seemed to passive at times his whole career, even last year when he had a great year. He will probably end up somewhere in the 5-7 rounds now like the mock drafts say.
My opinion on Malone has been all over the place since his SR year of HS. Watching him play S he just didn't seem to have any heart. You could see the talent but not the refuse to lose attitude.

Since then I've softened my stance some and I really thought he looked like he was turning the corner last year. Still not physical or consistent enough but getting there.

I hope he continues to progress.

That guy standing next to him is actually 6'9" 320 lbs.

Trey Smith goes about 7'6", 560 lbs.

And will consume the English with balls of fire from his eyes and bolts of lightning from his arse. :clapping:

You guys are focusing too much on the 2017 season by itself.

This is a guy who has choked away multiple games. It is a guy who is starting to slip in recruiting. At the end of year 5 with a coach with no divisional titles I think it is entirely reasonable to look at the program and say "we can do better. He has been given long enough. Let's hire a new guy before our talent level continues to drop."

There's several factors and unknowns at play. I could dream up scenarios where we keep him at 7-5 and fire him at 8-4. A lot of it may depend on the optimism or lack thereof surrounding the program in Decenber.

Mark Richt went 9-3 and got fired. That is a guy with 2 SEC championships and had went 10-3 the previous season. He went 12-2 and was one play away from playing for a national title just 3 seasons prior. He had a ton of equity built up and still got axed at 9-3. Butch Jones has done a good job rebuilding and I realize the situations aren't the same but he is not 100% safe at 8-4.

Ziti, you better hope that you never have a job where someone like you is your boss.
Of course, that would be kinda funny karma.

When I get paid like Butch Jones and have about $8 mill coming my way for getting fired, let me know.

Butch Jones hasn't built up enough equity in his first 4 years in order to feel safe at 8-4. Not sure what is so extreme about that stance.

If he goes 8-4 listen to the gnashing of teeth that will be going on and tell me how safe he should feel.

We need that dog in warrior to show for us... IMO... without a Dog at Safety the defense will never be what it could be... of course I played safety so... there's that.

He has showed it. Staff just didn't let him show it enough. Made plays few secondary players can make but they wait till end of yr and forced him into S car for him to make a mistake he could have made earlier in year with more chances instead it hit us in critical spot and they lost trust
