Sometimes keeping a coach becomes "not worth it" because they lose all their juice on the recruiting trail and the perception that they are a hot seat coach becomes reality and then leads to their firing.

The next coach may not be any better than Butch Jones but it may be time to move on to the next guy after this season if he isn't able to instill some confidence that he is the right guy to lead us for the next few years.
Most of us probably agree on this but it depends how it plays out.

You are the one who stated he is getting fired if he goes 8-4. We are saying it's possible but not a sure thing.

8-4 doesn't for sure get him fired.

If he goes 8-4 and we hire another project coach then my butt will not be in the seat. If we can't hire a top coach then I am done if we do that after another 8-4 year. Will focus money on Braves season tickets instead.

Don't punish yourself like that! It's not your fault that we are mediocre in football.

I mean there is one sure fire way to go 12-0 but it'll be hard...

I just have to attend every game and leave at half time.

My only question is why would you then invest the money on Braves baseball? I don't expect them to do much in the immediate future.

I think they'll be fun to watch this year. They have some young pieces to build on. Once their rock star pitching makes it to the majors --- look out. I think they'll be very good as early as next year. Maybe the year after.

I think there's a good chance he gets fired at 8-4.

I could also see a scenario where he is retained at 7-5.

Isn't that basically what I said? All 8-4 records are not created equally. If we go 8-4 and lose close games to UGA, UA, LSU and GT or FLA he probably keeps his job. Although it could definitely be argued that a loss to GT or Fla would be a bad loss, depending how healthy the team is, etc.

But throw in a candy type loss again and I think it's a good chance he is gone, but knowing our administration still not a given.

Well, maybe so. I grew up playing baseball, and I somewhat follow baseball. However, I can't keep up with so many players on a team. I let the site auto draft my fantasy baseball team last night. I have two players that I have never heard of who hit 30+ HR's last year.
