Could very well happen. We have all the ingredients to win some games. Great QB depth. A great running back with another good one behind him (presumably). Veteran OL with plenty of depth.

Just need to make sure all the DTs are healthy and ready to roll by fall camp and a couple guys step up at DE.

Need QB play to be solid.

Calling Kelly a great running back is a stretch. Hope he can handle the load of carries we need from him. I have concerns there as well.

The only thing that concerns me with Kelly is ball security. I feel he can handle the bulk of the carries without problem. He's tough.

We know Kelly is talented.

My only concern is how he'll handle a full season as the top back. No way to know if he'll be able to carry numbers like last year throughout a full season until we see him do it.

Anyone that's not happy with 9-3 or even 8-4 is delusional. We are not as good as last year's team as a whole.

But Butch needs to show something that makes him worth retaining. I don't care if his roster says 7-5 he needs to go 9-3 in my book or at the worst 8-4 with the future looking bright.

I think there's a good chance he gets fired at 8-4. He's going to either have to earn an extension this season or he's getting the ax. One or the other.

Agreed, but the new QB is the X factor whoever it may be.

Also, if this defense stays healthy and the new coaching staff gels, this defense could be much better than last years.

Nailed it. It is more the first sentence than anything.

Just like in most organizations nothing really happens without the knowledge and approval of those higher up. We all have bosses and you do what your boss says even if he says something different in public.
