It's amazing how bad the coaching is in the SEC these days and UT still can't win anything worth a damn.

Speaks to our current head coach IMO

It's the best conference in football and has the most talent in the country. We are still middle of the road talent wise in this conference.

The coaching isn't bad in the SEC. We just don't have a lot of proven guys in the league right now. Two of those proven guys got fired so not sure how we can act like they are a big loss to the coaching talent.

Is there a power 5 conference with worse coaches that the SEC right now? Not sure there is

I'm not gonna try and answer that. It's all depending on your criteria. Bottom line is that I t's the toughest conference to win in week to week. That has been the case for a dozen years and probably longer.

The coaching talent isn't bad in this league. We just know nobody else's warts like we do our own.

I believe Bielema also coached his last couple of years at Wisconsin while OSU was going through its problems and bowl ban.

He did. Had like 8 or 9 really good seasons regardless, albeit in one of the weaker divisions in P5 football. Still, he's the only SEC coach with prior P5 success isn't he? Orgeron is the only other one who's even been a P5 coach, let alone had success. Just weird how such a powerful conference is hiring all these unproven coaches.

Saban needs to go on somewhere. The chase to catch him is hurting the league in my opinion.

All that talk he's been doing about being the best player in the draft and he may drop out of the 1st round. Your mouth doesn't get you drafted, your play and performance does. His stock has been falling, and falling, and falling. His combine scores being pathetically bad mixed with off the field problems is a big question mark for NFL teams.

Careful. You don't wanna make Mama Teez mad by pointing out her son's crappy performance. Even though it was pretty bad for a CB.

Here is a question: If we have another 9 win season this year would you want to keep Butch another year to give this new staff more time?

9-3 regular season would probably have us looking forward to the next year. If we were 9-3 and heading to Atlanta I would be happy for sure.

Yes at 9-3 or even 9-4. 27-12 over three seasons looks good. But I would say that he would need to reach double digit wins by 2018. Otherwise, he's Bo Pelini or a lesser version of Mark Richt.

Absolutely. We will only lose a few players, especially on OL, which has been recruited well. If we keep our instate talent for 2018, the future would be very bright.

If we go 9-3 and win another bowl game to make it 10-3. Butch will get an extension. I think that is gonna happen....almost every time when we are not picked to win the East...we surprise and have a good season.
