Not reasonable at all and definitely no evidence to support the statement that we would have won one more game.

Of course there is no evidence as it was stated as an opinion.

One thing I think we can all agree on is the LB position cost us games last year. It couldn't have hurt having another option IMO

It was not just the LB position. Our secondary was horrible and our DL was decimated by injuries.

I think its more complicated than saying lb cost us games. Now if you said the combination of lb play and dt play cost us games i can afree with that. Dt depth and play last year carries equal weight imo as to the lack of decent defense.

I saw the posting about safety Stephen Griffin leaving the team. I also saw something about Gavin Bryant also leaving. Were both to get more playing time/ snaps?

I just want the best damn QB to play. No need to pick sides.

Exactly. I'm not giving a single crap, as to who wins the job. The wrong decision could see every coach out of Knoxville, and I'm going to let them work it out. I'm comfortable with our top 2

Griffin would have a been a backup i think

Bryant wasn't even on the depth chart

Yeah not worried about those losses. Lose Bryant's special teams reps but surely someone can make that up from recruiting.

Griffin behind Kelly, Micah, Berry and Warrior. Also sounds like Gaulden may get another look there with us looking for more base 4-3

Dormady has a lot of talent but he doesn't have that swag yet and at times he almost overthinks drills. He is ginormous tho and when he doesn't overthink it he can be silky smooth. JG already acts like he's been named starter (not in a cocky way or anything like that - he's not presumptuous and even mentions all of his fellow QBs in his interview but watching him and knowing nothing about the team you'd assume he was the starter just by the way he behaves). JG also surprised me with the power behind some of his throws.

Also, I like what little I saw of Canales. The QBs looked really freaking good considering they're missing WRs and it's so early on. The whole unit looks a lot more polished and organized than in years past which is great to see. I think we've got two really good QBs in JG and QD.

The more I read the more I think it's gonna be Dormady. At least initially. Long time til August though.

But Jones has already shown that he will go with the slower less talented QB who isn't a fit in his system during the Worley years. Jones wants a QB he can trust. It's why he was reluctant to play Dobbs even though he was the best fit from the moment he stepped on campus.

If JG wants the starting job then he will need to prove he can do all the little things. Dormady is going to have a leg up on him there having two more years experience in the system and actual playing time.
