Article: Why the Cleveland Browns are a perfect fit for Josh Dobbs

It's pretty clear how ignorant you are of the Browns; it's not like the situation they are in is new by any means.

If Dobbs goes to them and it starting next year, it will mostly likely be because the guy in front of him got hurt, they suck, and he'll be running for his life.

Or he wins the job in the preseason like Russell Wilson and leads a resurgent team to the playoffs as a rookie.

OMG the Browns just traded for Brock Osweiler.

The Texans basically said "we will give you a free second round pick if you will take Osweiler."

Holy crap.

I thought you were joking is this real? I got 15 minutes and I want a shot tequila and I want Barnett number 12 pick. I have NO IDEA who will be the number one pick now. #sashibrownluvsdadraft

Hey does anyone know what scheme they run defensively and offensively.... That could for us a better picture of what they are trying to do?

Sorry I don't know much about them from a schematics standpoint.

In case today's moves don't make it obvious to you: the Browns aren't going to be starting a mid-round pick at QB unless the guy in front of him gets hurt. They are either going to trade for a guy like Garappolo, or they are drafting one in the 1st round.

Edit before you have a chance to suggest it: THE BROWNS ARE NOT GOING TO DRAFT JOSH DOBBS IN THE 1ST ROUND.

You have a short memory.

Have you not been following the combine? Every expert has been raving about how deep and talented this draft class is. Outside of QB and O-line this draft is loaded. Positions like safety, cornerback, running back, and tight end are as talented this year as they have ever been.

2017 draft is clearly the best draft since 2011.

You got be tough in Cleveland buddy. It's cold, and it's icy. You play some of the most tough opponents in the league in the worst conditions.

That being said all of a sudden we hired Hugh Jackson who loves new school pocket passing high octane speedster receiver type football. We are in transistion... so your guess is as good as a life long Browns fan.

Remember what happened after the Seahawks in 2012 signed Matt Flynn to a huge contract before drafting Russell Wilson in the 3rd round? Well expect the same thing to happen if the Browns foolishly give up a lot of draft picks for a guy like Jimmy Garrapolo. All they would be doing is giving up assets for a guy Dobbs will beat out.

Yes, because clearly the Browns are the next Seattle Seahawks.

They have the draft capital to be that good. 11 picks in 2017. 11 picks in 2018. Both drafts are expected to be the most talented since 2011.

If they draft wisely they can be the best team in the NFL by 2020.

They also have the right people in place to pull it off. The owner is an owner, the front office is front office guys, the head coach is an offensive genius, the defensive coordinator is a defensive genius that specializes in this conference play, they just added that QB coach, they have one of the youngest teams in the country, they have a solid core of guys, and now you have a QB, a lot of money to play with and a lot of picks....

This is the browns we're talking about.....history tells us they ain't drafting wisely

Fill the oline, get a solid pass rusher and solid corner/safety in the draft. You can pick up another receiver as well and you're golden.

Who's the first pick? Any bodies guess.

The owner is a terrible owner.

No, the Browns don't have a QB yet.

Lol

Somehow I got a feeling it's coming back to Garrett. I would rather have Barnett at 12 and pick a stud at 1... not a flop.

It's pure speculation of course but basically every post-combine mock draft I've seen (though not nearly all of them I'm sure) projects them taking Garrett.

They keep saying they will take Garrett one and that makes me question it. These guys play the game. They may do what they say or they not...

For those of you questioning Osweiler, the guy is a Manning/ Elway protege who lit it up when he got his shot.

Um, I hate to break it to you, but...

...the 2016 season happened.

There is a very good reason that the Texans were willing to give up a 2nd rounder just to get rid of Osweiler and his albatross of a contract.
