By that logic, wouldn't Fulmer and Blackburn also send up red flags? They worked with Hamilton too.

That in addition to other things I'm hearing about Currie that sound great for the school but not the athletics department.

You seem to be grasping for anything to bash either of them. If no one can hear him, no need for a question. Get a life.

I sensed a lot of sensitivity from her about this process. She was fine answering questions about the power T on the glass at Currie's home and about his sweet mother, but she didn't seem very comfortable answering relevant questions about the actual process. Just my opinion.

She said the details of the contract will be made public. I think that is reasonable during this presser. I doubt she had a copy with her and didn't want discuss details with out it.

Do what? How about they #1. don't like how his last stint at UT ended as Hamilton's number two #2. Are concerned with reports that he is a mettling micromanager who has difficulty getting along with his coaches #3. Doesn't have a good history with hiring winning coaches #4. Was all over the place/didn't directly answer questions/wasn't particularly impressive today. Perhaps you're being very close-minded if you "don't see many other options".

Just making what seems to me to be very obvious observations. Both, especially Davenport, seemed touchy/defensive at times today, not sure why.

Also, how about you just similarly give your thoughts and opinions rather than insult someone else giving theirs. It's a message board.

My guess she was on lockdown due to some boosters about how the process actually went.....I liked them both I think UT is in good hands....Butch has to be excited finally a guy who seems like he wants to help out the football program with anything it needs

All over the place is an understatement, he needs to S L O W way down when talking.

Where does all this talk about not being able to make great hires stem from?

How many hires did he make at K-State? I know 1e made at least 1...a guy that coached a National runner-up.

You act like in 8 years the guy should have established a track record of bringing in hall of fame coaches to one of the least athletically prestigious and most desolate of all power 5 schools.

On paper this is the right hire. Will it work out? Nobody knows, but lets just sit back and enjoy a few months of stability in the AD and on the gridiron staff.
