Seriously, stop tweeting players

Let's get a few things out there:

Sigh.

Tweeting players is creepy and ignorant.

No, not always. These players have public profiles and are actively tweeting about common interests (football/Tennessee football in particular); why is it "ignorant" to engage in discourse after someone else has brought up the topic? Do you even understand how Twitter works?

Tom Brady is the greatest QB of all time. It's really not even close.

"Not even close?" Really? Why, because he has more rings? Robert Horry has more rings than Jordan and Lebron... is he a better player? No, that's what I thought.

It's okay to love Peyton Manning and accept the previous statement as fact.

The previous statement isn't a "fact;" you're not doing too hot with definitions here, Wylo.

Anyone that thinks it's okay to personally ridicule these players on social media is an idiot.

I'm inclined to agree with this, but these players shouldn't have public Twitter accounts if they can't take the heat. If you're going to put yourself in the relative limelight by playing for a team with such a large fanbase and then opt against making your account private, you need to accept that you're going to have people take issue with what you say/your performance on Twitter.

Lets look fwd to spring practice, now back to your regularly scheduled volnation arguments

I hate twitter. Never used it and never will. 20 years ago you would have gotten a real life beat down for even saying the word "tweet." What have we become? Grown adults tweeting 18 to 22 year old kids. That's truly pathetic if you can't see that. Leave the players alone! Just makes our fan base look like a bunch of losers.

Both sides involved are equally as dumb for saying anything. I'd place far more blame on Guarantano than anyone though. As a potential leader of the Tennessee Volunteers offensive line in 2017 you don't tweet some crap about Tom Brady being the "greatest" especially given the fact that he's been directly connected with cheating at least once. You're better off keeping your mouth shut and keeping an opinion like that to yourself.

See you on game day soon, Dormady! :good!:

Did they tell him Manning would have 8 rings with Belicheat and Brady would be lucky to have 1 with the Colts?

I'm kidding. (Or am I?)

Seriously..... join the 21st century and quit criticizing others for embracing social media.

There's a difference between embracing social media and acting weird. The people they lack self awareness on social media also acted weird when all we had were rotary telephones.

yeah, it was just more in private than in front of God and everyone to see.

i don't see the need to do it. and i don't understand the venom directed at him for saying Tom Brady is the greatest of all time.

it's not like he's going out on a limb. and i hate tom brady. doesn't make him wrong....nor does it deserve a giant overreaction from billy bob and the boys to defend Peyton Manning's honor.

says a lot more about the person making the response, than it does the originator. ridiculous. be a freakin' adult.

As a fan base we go overboard on 2 issues. Anything involving Lane Kiffin and Brady vs Manning debate.

and i think both are able to be put to rest at this point.

so, we only have the 2nd best QB ever as an VFL. poor us. and Lane Kiffin has been fired twice since leaving us at the alter and is now at a directional school in FL.

Ain't that the truth.

Here I am agreeing with you, again, and wondering where we disagree.:)
