You're right - it's worse.

Current class avg stars on Rivals - 3.29.

Dooley 2012 - 3.41
Dooley 2011 - 3.41
Dooley 2010 - 3.37

Current class Rivals 4* + 5* = 9

Dooley 2012 = 11
Dooley 2011 = 12
Dooley 2010 = 13

Current class avg score on 24/7 composite - 87.14

Dooley 2012 = 88.22
Dooley 2011 = 88.44
Dooley 2010 = 87.22

Current class 4* + 5* on 24/7 composite - 5

Dooley 2012 = 8
Dooley 2011 = 9
Dooley 2010 = 10

Now, one could argue our current staff are better evals, but I don't know. This class is slightly below all 3 Dooley classes and only ranks higher due to sheer size.
Didn't like this because it's worse that a DD class, but because you made the effort to put this info together. Thanks.

A class with Trey Smith, Ty Chandler, Maleik Gray, Will Ignont, and others is being compared to a Dooley class. Smh. Not to mention the criminal underrating of Butler, Page, Labruzza, Bailey and others. This is not a Dooley class and certainly not worse

You do realize that every single recruiting cycle we say certain players are criminally underrated. A lot of times those players aren't criminally underrated.

Just curious. Did you see where the class is on espn? At one point I thought they had several of our recruits considerably higher than rivals

This should be fun

I think that we got quite a few guys who have elite measurables, but may not have developed into elite talent.
Hope so. UGA just got a classfull of guys who probably have both. I don't see how we have much shot at the East this year without shocking the world. I know there's a lot of folks who deeply believe that Butch is a couple of years away from the launch of run of greatness. It's gonna be hell in this fanbase it he can't deliver sooner than that.

Look at Labruzza, Page, Butler and Bailey and then come and argue that they aren't underrated. They're 4 stars on other sites for one thing, but Butler was on the list of all Americans with multiple 5 stars and he's a three star. That doesn't even make sense. No question these guys are underrated.

Rankings only count top 20 commits. And we have a large class which lends to having a worse average star ranking.

Way to cherry pick to help your argument.

Class isn't great. Don't need to start inventing crap or using misleading stats to prove it.

We probably said the same thing about Dooley classes.

I am going back a few years that I have tried to erase from my memory but if I remember right much of the cream of the 2010 class kiffen already had enrolled

And I believe the 2012 4-5 stars were pretty lackluster. Even CP as great as he was was only a 1 year contributor

Average stars uses all the signees correct?

What about the 4/5 stars?

And do you realize that this is not a Dooley quality class? Which is back to the point he was presenting.

Every poster here obviously has some investment in UT or we wouldn't be here in the first place. There is a huge difference between a devoted fan and a devoted critic. We should all try to be more fan-like.

What about the 4/5 stars?

That has more merit.

The average star ranking is only used by eeyores right now because it's fits the narrative.

Magically we could cut our 8 lower rates commits and we would instantly become better in that stat especially on Rivals. Class would be worse but the star average would be better.

The class is what it is.
