SMH......

I did both some research and watched every game Dobbs played....and that USCe game his SR. year was not any better than any game he played as a FR---with a massive QBR of 11!!!

App State 26
VT 66
Ohio 68
Fla 55
Uga 74
aTm 44
USCe 11
KY 96
Mizz 100
Vandy 80
Neb 90

threw out Bama and Tenn Tech.....

That's NOT VERY GOOD for a SR QB in the SEC by anyone's estimation....

And no....he won't be a QB in the NFL...

Where in the hell did you get your info from? Smdh.

Here are all his QBR ratings for every game this year.

Honestly, that Memphis team was probably better than USCe.

Maybe, but you also have to evaluate how good Ole Miss was. That team was probably better than the team we fielded against USCe, especially with our injuries. We didn't even have Kamara that game. Let's be real: Butch would have been roasted for losing to Memphis. We don't need to belabor the point.

The NFL will be much more interesting next year. Going to be a lot of new Vols playing. I'd love to see Dobbs have a Dak Prescott impact on a team after getting picked up in a late round or as an UDFA.

I am really wishing for that. NFL has been a dud this year without Peyton.

7-17 is pretty bare ( 2 years prior to Freeze). They won with his recruiting.

The two Ole Miss coaches prior to Freeze went 34-51 .400
The two Tennessee coaches prior to Jones went 23-27 .460
Nutt had 2 9-win seasons during his tenure, Dooley had 0 winning seasons during his tenure.

Oregeron and Nutt RECRUITED well. That 36 man class by Nutt inspired the 25 man limit. They didn't have the relatively nonathletic slow baseline where our kicker is outrunning the fastest DB on pro day.

They started doing really well with the classes hugh brought in. That's what I'm saying.

The MONEY class was an epic haul...for any school. Some of his others were meh average and would've created panic threads on this forum.

Well you agreed that it's equivalent. I guess I proved my point. Yet, Hugh Freeze is a much better coach.

Freeze wins East past two years with this talent that's for dang sure. Not sure how anyone can watch them and think he isn't a good coach. Their issue thisnyear was they lost their hey guys to NFL on defense and at a place like Ole Miss it's hard to replenish every year then in game 1 loses his top two secondary guys. I hate the guy but he is a better coach than Butch

Problem with that is that he has lost to UF and Vandy the last 2 years. We aren't in disagreement that much. I originally said he was a good coach, but I think he took a step back this year. It's always the grass on the other side is always greener for our fans.

You cannot say that he would have won the East the last two years for certain, this year's Ole Miss team sure wouldn't have won it.

And I am not saying he's isn't a good coach, just saying he isn't significantly better than Jones. And no one has brought any facts, stats, or anything else other than "the eyeball test" to prove otherwise.

If Freeze had been the coach at UT the last 5 years and had the type of year that he had this year (on and off the field), his seat would be way hotter than Jones's and deservedly so. Any UT fan that says otherwise simply cannot see past their own disdain for Jones. Again, it's all about perspective.

How do you come up with Freeze being overrated? He is underrated if anything. Dude is a winner at every program he coaches at regardless of level. HS, NAIA, D1. Ole miss has consistently beat Bama under him and it hasn't been fluke wins. He has recruited at higher level than ole mIss ever has(thanks to shenigans yes but still).

At same time if true he is a moron for hiring Trooper Tayor with NCAA on his tail.

Just not a fan. Sorry. There is no part of me that wishes Hugh Freeze was our coach.

Butch is a consistent winner too. Has he beaten Alabama? No. But I think Freeze is incredibly prone to losing games he shouldn't, even more so than Butch, and I think that if you look beyond the Bama wins, it's really an unspectacular track record. If you have watched Ole Miss, you know that he makes some confounding in game decisions, and he has yet to figure out what a running game is.

I think he capitalized on one awesome recruiting class(which may have been gotten by questionable means), and the bell curve is on its way down. In a way, he's probably similar to Butch, but I think Ole Miss's descent will be much more drastic. Sorry to offend, but I've watched Ole Miss more than I care to over the last few years, and I think he's overrated.

Probably made them up. Dobbs haters go to great lengths to disparage him. You know why.

He was using ESPN QBR which is on a scale of 1-100 is my guess.

Don't see how the A&M and UF games would be that low though.

Regardless, the average of that sample would put him 15 points ahead of the average college QB, so his point still looks stupid using his own stats.
