Think the ACC, SEC, Big10 were all very close this season. I might give a slight nod to the ACC but splitting hairs IMO

It's easy for it to look that way when the next 10 teams in your conference are so awful.

They're average to bad just like every other conference. I actually think SEC's bottom was stronger.

Bowl season doesn't dictate whole season. So many factors at play in bowl games. If it did, ACC and Big12 are the two best conferences right now.

It's ok for us to have a difference of opinion.

You value head to head pretty strongly it sounds like. I don't as much.

No!

WR and Corners scare me. LB actually doesn't look too bad if if the young guys contribute with DK and the crew.

The staff does do a great job of evaluating kids. When you go back and read this thread Darnold was looking at Northwestern, Wake, and Duke. Tennessee offered and the other big schools came in later. He may would have been here had USC's committed QB at the time not have decommitted.

I don't know if this a cop out, but I take the "I believe in 2nd chances, but not on my team" approach in these situations. I guess if everyone had the same attitude, then Mixon would be in the market for a new profession.

Also believe Musberger was totally over the line. He was basically saying he hopes Mixon sticks it to all the haters.

I agree with second chances as well but for this kind of offense that second chance has to come at another university. Part of the punishment/rehabilitation should be having to move on from the original school. After that anyone gets the benefit of doubt with me.

This is Butch Jones and this staff's saving grace. They can spot talent. They might not know what to do with it when it comes on campus but they find players.

Darnold is a Matt Stafford clone. He's elite.

@BruceFeldmanCFB: BREAKING - Former #49ers QB coach (and ex #BC OC) Ryan Day is expected to join #OhioState’s staff as a coordinator/QB coach.

You're saying you would have taken him on Tennessee then? I would not.

My super early, seasons not even over, likely 25% accurate prediction is

Bama
FSU
Oklahoma
Washington

Next two
USC
Michigan

What makes you think Washington will get in over USC next year?

Washington are frauds. Pac 12 is USC's in 2017.

Here is my early playoff prediction:

1. Florida State
2. USC
3. Tennessee
4. Ohio State or Oklahoma
