Ok SBV..your buddy Haney is now officially an a**hole. Why do we get afflicted with these kinds of journalist(very loose)alums? Screw integrity, I am a UT fan, I want homers like everybody else has.

It's crazy how UT has so many media members that are the opposite of being a homer. I don't get it.

Why is that such a big deal for you'll? That allows me to provide the boards with stuff you otherwise wouldn't get because Ron, Fingers, & company don't post as much recruits as they used too.

This is me trying to help the boards out. Never seen so much complaining from one forum in my life than this one here at VN. It's really a disgrace!

I don't know why I want to continue to be a member other than me being a VFL & wanting to help people get information that they wouldn't get unless I did it for the most part.

I don't get some of you'll. I really don't. Complain & cry about some of the silliest things. Amazes me! Thanks!

I agree. But they are reflective of a big part of our fanbase.

For example, I was watching Duke basketball yesterday and Tennessee State was up by two points on Duke with about 13 minutes to go in the game at Cameron indoor stadium. The camera panned around and the Duke fans there were happy, smiling, going nuts, cheering their team on to victory. They didn't seem to care that they were at risk of a humiliating upset. They thought their team would win and so they happily cheered them on.

If that had been Tennessee, the crowd would have been almost stone silent, arms folded, frowning faces, expecting the worst. A chunk of them would have been on their iPhones, posting on message boards about how they want all their coaches fired.

A big chunk of our fanbase loves to hate Tennessee.

It's really bizarre, but I think it has always been that way. It's a true novelty in collegiate athletics, I have to believe.

Duke tends to lose less games in a basketball season than we do in a football one. This might have something to do with the different mindsets.

And our horrible fan base would never sell out our bowl game allotment in a matter of minutes after a highly disappointing season.

In New York today and the whole family had our Orange on. We were eating at Juniors in Times Square and the bartender came over and said in a true New York accent that he saw the Orange and came over to say GBO. He was a 2014 graduate. Got a few more GBO's. Vol's are big even in New York , New yoooorrrkkkkkk

I used to read the Chris Low ESPN blog every day, then aschoff led the way for a slew of amateur hacks to cover the SEC, and I haven't been back since. Haney really isn't good, although supposedly he drummed up a lot of sources willing to speak for that one article.

Snagged my wife off of Long Island. Woman is fiery as a redhead playing with firecrackers, but made a Vol out of her
