To make it very clear, I have not heard anything about butch, in fact, I believe this is not true with people saying he is leaving, but I was just saying that that would been an incredible tandem.

Im just saying a Shoop/Helfrich duo would be as great in my mind as a lot of combinations I can think of and it is less of a pipe dream than a lot of combinations I can think of

From my experience.... I believe this is a huge rumor and butch will be back next year to try to make a final hoorah. Giving up 10 million and accepting a job paying less just doesn't make sense. Butch is a good guy and that's why the players always have his back.

It would absolutely be incredible. It would be Saban and kiffin style. Shoop would let the OC do his own thing and he would just manage the defense with his people. It would be incredible.

Butch will get next year. I just hope he lets Shoop be Shoop. The man can coach D.

Butch needs to unclinch and let his coaches be coaches

I understand this train of thought, but it doesn't always work out that way. Derek Mason, Will Muschamp, and potentially Kirby Smart are all coaches who I can think of that are great defensive minds and they let the OC do his thing. Doesn't always pay off.

(1) I personally don't think he will leave.

(2) I think bUTch fires some on his staff and the new O.C. is one like Cutcliffe who will cover bUTch's butt by making bUTch look like a brain surgeon. New O.C. will coach q.b. and new q.b. will develop nicely. He will have us with 150 yards rushing per game and 300 in passing yardage.

(3) With less injuries next season, we will do better than this year. What I mean by that is we do not lost to USC, Vandy, Oklahoma, Arkansas etc. We will lose maybe 3 games in total all season.

(4) We have the receivers on the team already. The new q.b. will have to be a passer. Bray, Manning, etc.

(5) Current players on the team who had little playing time this season are better than we give them credit for. Poor coaching has been holding their grown back.

My God, there is a poster on this board that is rational. I really hope you're right. A lot of people on here say that S&C isn't important, but I disagree, and with some better assistants on defense, i think we will be good next year.
