We are going to be a lot better than expected next year.

Our fans circled this year but next year we will field a more complete roster. If we find answers at QB and a couple other positions we could be really good. Outside of Dobbs Kamara and Barnett we've played most of this season without the others we are losing.

Funny how the O-line looks better with RBs that can read holes. 😂😂😂😂😂

Against much worse defenses 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I think UF will be the preseason pick to win the East next year. UGA could be #2 because of Eason. UT will lose key talent and will be starting a new QB, so I can see the pollsters questioning the Vols.

I think people will look at who we return. We will return 17 out 22 starters. Florida will return maybe 10-12 starters and their qb is garbage.

I posted this in Mizz thread and after reading some of this stuff in this thread with Bruin, I thought I may should post it again here.

We stayed with two 5th graders, until after the TN Waltz song. It was a special day with what will be special memories with some special friends. That is what college football is about. The two kids where so happy and thankful to be there and spoke how exciting it was. How much fun they had the entire day. I love football and the Vols but sometimes, I think we lose focus about where it should be in our life perspective. It is entertainment and I am a competitor to the excessive side. But as I get older and closer to the end than the beginning of life, I realize what is really important. The memories are not of a horrible D or a third and 21 first down run conversion but of the smile saying thank you for taking me from a kid and the love of my own son who was thankful we spent time together and the blast he had with his friend and his dad. This Vol year of beating Florida at Neyland and all the other fun times with my son was wonderful. Thank you team 120 and Coach Jones for your blood, sweat and tears for us this year.

Couldn't agree more. This year's injury plague could be a blessing in disguise. With so many backups and kids way down the depth chart being forced to play next year we could have the deepest team without a drop-off of performance.

I like the self confidence a lot of folks on here have going into next week, but did you actually watch some of the Vandy Ole Miss game last night? Vandy was NOT Candy last night and looked like a team focused and peaking at the right time. They beat a team that is definitely down right now, but has a healthier D than we do and definitely a better secondary. They only need one more win to legitimately go bowling and the game is in their backyard-- they smell blood seeing how porous our D is right now and will be playing with more on the line than us actually.
Yes, the theme on here last night and this morning is "they will score 40, but we will score 60".... I get that, but Vandy's D is worlds better than Mizz. We will not be able to score at will on these guys like we have the past two games. I really think this will be a nail biter considering their running AND passing attack is on fire right now. Our DB's/secondary better put in some basic middle school work this week and work on angles, tackling, and Lord baby Jesus quit playing 15 yds off the WR and turn their head and track the ball. I think we sneak out the back gate Saturday 38-31.
Shoop better bring in some help to advance our secondary play for next season or it will be ugly and we will see 12 games of what we saw back there last night.
Sidenote--- That interception and TD from Kongbo last night will be enough to have this kid on cloud 9 for the remainder of the year and into next season.

Not sure that one game means they are "on fire." They scored 16 last week against that same Missouri defense. Ole Miss' defense is simply not good and not sure they are much better than ours. We will need to score, but I don't expect Vandy's offense to do as well as Missouri.

Agreed. IF jg is as advertised I think next year is a better chance for us.

Won't know till we see him play. Could be Jalen hurts or could be treon Harris. He will be the key to our season. Can't really make excuses cause he's a freshman. So many come in ready to go and are ready to play. The pieces will be there for him to be successful hopefully he comes through

I wouldn't be surprised to see Dormady start the opener to give him a shot.

I think expectations should be 10-2 with possibility of 11-1. If Butch continues his trend of being one win better each year he should be there. But Bama should be a loss and I think we lose just one of Florida, GA, LSU but could win them all given we get GA and LSU at home.

GA always gets the benefit of the doubt, but they will be losing three OL and possibly Chubb and Michel. I could see McKenzie come out too. He has helped his draft stock and coming back for another year isn't going to change his lack of size.

Ruby Tuesday for me. Not a huge fan but easy to get into Sunday after church.

I went to the one in LC off exit 81 after the game last night. Have the same feeling about easy to get into and is a nice stop on the way back South after a game and getting thru the traffic. Wanted to eat at the WH but son did not want it and Bruin wasn't going to be there so chose RT.

No he didn't. He gave up 400+ yards of offense to a team without a star RB and with a terrible QB. Don't let LSU's mistakes in the 10 make you think he did a good job stopping that anemic offense.

Please don't bring logic into the conversation, it negates the point trying to be made!! Lol
Lsu blew, what, 4 opportunities inside the 5 to score a TD?!?!

Ole Miss has quit on the season, it was pretty clear watching the game. Complete lack of intensity and hustle on their part, they didn't care like Dooleys team against KY in 11, or 12 whenever it was.
