So you were burglarized for drug money, while drugs are illegal...are you saying if drugs were legal that would happen more? That logic makes no sense. It is the drug war that makes drugs harder to get and drives up the cost, can you understand that?
Also I don't necessarily think ALL drugs should be legal. If drugs cause a physical addiction and can be easily lethal than no they should not be legal. Shouldmarijuana be a class 1 narcotic? Of course not. Everyone has issues with their parties' platforms but compared to the others and the incestuous nature of the two party system I choose libertarian and I push for awareness not necessarily blind following.
keep fighting that drug war you are #winning
If you want to end the drug war then all drugs would have to be legalized. I worked with drug enforcement officers in my younger years and saw first hand the monumental and impossible task they take on every day. If the war on drugs was being won by the good guys then drug dealers would have stopped. They are making money though so they won't stop anytime soon. I agree that the war on drugs is expensive and like pushing a boulder up a hill. I also couldn't care less about marijuana. It is no more harmful than tobacco or alcohol and in fact has many useful medicinal purposes. I am pleased to see more states adopting medical marijuana. You are all over the map though. You say that the war against drugs is useless but you don't want to legalize all drugs. Heroin, cocaine, and many other synthetic drugs would still be illegal and still require law enforcement to combat them. Simply legalizing MJ does not end the expensive war on drugs. Come on Newt.
