Congress has done something?? This has been the most do nothing Congress I have seen in my 78 years of living. Remember, only about 9% of people approve of what our Senate and House has done in the last 4 years.

C'mon. They would and have sent up numerous bills, but Obama threatens vetoes or actually vetoes. Only once has there been enough votes to override. Just like it has been for centuries with both parties.

But let's keeping voting for the same sorry azzes to keep doing the same sorry azz things going and expect something different to come out of it all. Term limits and taking the big money out of politics are the only ways to bring this crap to an end.

Executive orders should be limited or eliminated altogether. They are not the will of the people. They are used to circumvent the will of the people.

I actually prefer a do nothing Congress. They generally screw up more than they get right anyway.

FTR, Obama has used fewer executive orders than Bush, Clinton, and Reagan and has used fewer per year in office than any president since Grover Cleveland.

Executive orders are fine. Plenty of good presidents have used a lot of them. What needs to be changed badly is presidential memorandum, which Obama has used probably more than any president in history. Problem is that, unlike Executive Orders, they don't have to be registered, so it's difficult to keep count and track of everything the Exective Branch is doing.

Sadly, despite Trumps words, I don't see either of these candidates doing much about that.

I just listened to a really interesting Freakanomics podcast that made this same point about executive orders. Both parties have been guilty of expanding the authority of the presidency beyond its intended limits.

Voted early. Straight line Republican ticket. Might've accidentally voted for someone locally that I don't agree with but when you're making an omelet...?

I would rather Congress not do anything. Whenever they do stuff we end up with less money in our pockets. They start a new program or a new project that we don't really need. No. I would much rather they do nothing at all.

Be nice if we could have someone just unite the people and both parties instead of creating consistent divide and finger pointing like nether side has good ideas. Need a president willing to work with both parties and throw they party crap out the window once election is over

The FBI is re-opening the investigation on HRC. Will anything actually happen to her? Doubtful but it cannot be good for her this close to the election.

On the surface, it's hard to argue with this. But, the Federal Budget is mind boggling and to do nothing would be inexplicable. Let's either cut the living &$%@ out of the budget (which ain't happening) or start getting something done.

One thing this election cycle has proven is how terribly corrupt our system of government has become. Bernie, Elizabeth Warren, etc., harp all the time on Wall Street's corruption and the greed of the 1%. However, Wall Street is a small problem compared to the corruption demonstrated repeatedly by the Democratic & Republican parties, and how deeply embedded the mainstream media is in this corruption.

I actually don't think it will make any difference in the election. She could be on video standing over a dead body holding a smoking gun and they would believe Fox News framed her. They couldn't care less what she's done.

FBI reopens case, and here is Hillary on tape saying to rig the Palestine elections....

Yet some of yall STILL gonna vote for her lol 😐

She is a sickening criminal being held up by a corrupt system and party.

As to the GOP whiners about Trump - your choices stepped in crap and blew it. He won the GOP primary. Do the only thing you should now do and vote for Trump. If he accomplishes a quarter of his platform it will restore the country significantly.

I'd be happy with just term limits for Congress.

Thrilled to be able to bump this on a great day, November 9, 2016 if somebody else has not beat me to it.

Congrats to Cat. You called it again.

Congrats to me, my wife, my child/son-in-law, and other family and friends that are among the silent majority that has spoken. After my guy was vanquished (Cruz - had hoped for Carson) I tried my best to explain on here what was going to happen next and that Trump would win the day if he refined his approach and fully tapped into the will of the majority of Americans. Being in the business world and having lived in the state of Arkansas for a dozen years during their rise in politics, I have known for decades just how corrupt and threatening they are. It has always been all about them and what they can take/do. Most voters for her and Slick before, really had/have no idea the real people for whom they were voting. Thanks to Wiki and others for giving the public an opening to see a slice of the Clinton's. I count myself a very willing member of The Deplorables.

To those that could not pull the trigger for Trump, I understand. I just caution you to look at the platform, look at who a person has the potential to be and not necessarily who the person currently is. It's somewhat like watching a player develop by coaches, then watching the performance on the field. Who are the man/woman's supporters and confidants? Is the person intelligent, does the person have a solid family? How about the person's courage, wisdom, decisiveness?

The GOP has two years to turn the ship around. The voters will not be patient this time around. Obama had his two years of total control and he delivered more debt, a do nothing economy making money for the elites, and a pathetic excuse of a health care program that most knew would crumble and fall apart. But that was the point, it was to just be a step toward national healthcare. We knew. Now it can be fixed.

Wow. I am very glad that HRC was defeated. That crazy cannot be the first woman elected to the Presidency. Women deserve better than for HRC to begin their legacy in the White House. Now let's see what a President Trump can do with what Obama (aka President Dooley) left him in the cupboard.

Hold on to your butts.

obama is dooley, leaving the cupburd completely bare on his way out. now trump is butch coming in and laying a solid foundation and fixing some things in his 1st 4 years, then over the next 4 years carves his legacy.

Good analogy, ucv. Agree completely.
