How concerned are y'all that we already have 12 gone from the 14 class alone? We all kill Dooley because his classes never stayed in tact.

Obviously there is attrition in every class but it's concerning to say the least.

I would line up my tight end in the I formation and hand it off to him on the first play.

But that's one of a million reasons why I'm not a head coach for the Vols.

Unlike Butch, he actually has an offensive identity and knows how to call plays and develop QBs. Will be interesting to see how he fares without an elite defense, though. His recruiting is headscratching thus far.

I like you but what the hell are you talking about? He has no offensive identity and hasn't for two years now.

I mean you're right but a few of those guys bounced when they figured out they wouldn't be starting. I see your point though. I thought one or two didn't even make it to campus too.

And he has scraped by on the defense he inherited. They suck on offense and have for two years. Can't wait to see him lose the d that was left for him.

With 4 games left of his senior season Dobbs will not be benched. Also we've seen his full potential.. He can make some plays w his feet but can't throw a lick.

He should be much more capable passer at this point in his senior season of college football.

My point is, the players have gone out there and made plays to win a lot of these games, despite the coaches consistently failing to put them in position to beat these lesser teams, which they have been. No excuse for a lot of those starts, gameplans, and coaching decisions despite the 5-0 start. The players won in spite of the coaches, or they simply got lucky.

The difference these last 3 weeks is a lot of those big playmakers have gotten hurt, or the ball has stopped bouncing our way, which was inevitable. That bad coaching has caught up.

That's unfortunate. We should prepare for the future and start SJ.

I think SC was his worst game ever.

I was wondering if he got his bell rung. He took some massive hits.

Luke Del Rio has the same completion % as Dobbs and a worse TD/INT ratio than him.

Let's not act like his starting guy is all world. That's against the likes of UMASS, North Texas, Kentucky, Missouri, and Georgia.

Looks like you have joined the elite company of Cat, InVol, and I in the purported nega stable because of your lack of agreeing with those coach loyalists that know they are right, even when they aren't.

Dobbs has around the same number of picks and fumbles as he does TD's passing and rushing and a sub 60% completion rate that is worsening. That's his body of work. If folks are happy with that, oh well.

I think butch can MAYBE turn it around if he hires good coaches around him and let's them take control. If he continues to be stubborn we have a new coach in 2018 imo. Look how Auburn coach let their OC start calling plays. They are suddenly amazing on offense!

Dobbs hasn't progressed as everybody had hoped and has regressed the past month. I just wonder if CBJ shouldn't open up the competition. Maybe it would motivate them all. If Dobbs is our best option-- and he probably is-- then maybe it lights a fire under him and restores his confidence?

We're really lucky Dobbs hasn't been injured. Our backups probably have the least gameday experience in the SEC.

I usually agree with you, but I have a feeling Dobbs has been sick all weekend about his performance and even though he is not a vocal leader, he will want to make things right and finish strong. I am hoping at least...
