Do you think Saban has loyalty? You have to pay them and keep paying them. Again, that is if Tennessee ever wants to win championships again. Fulmer loved UT, he wasn't going anywhere.

You have to pay a coach and keep paying him if you want him to remain loyal.

Injuries, loss of some team leaders, (McNeil and Randolph) and some behind the scenes drama.

IMO, Butch will only be fired if he loses the rest of the games. I think we will win the rest and possibly back into the SEC championship game.

That said, most of us saw what (Brice?) said about Debord and Maloney. I think there will be changes there.

I'm most disappointed that Butch DID answer a question about Hurd after that. He didn't want to answer this specific question because he didn't have a coachism/lie ready to answer it.

The question?

"Coach, why didn't we see more of Hurd in the formations we saw in the bowl game last year after how enormously successful it was?"

Austin Price flat out said, very politely basically, "Coach, what is your excuse for being so stupid and not running a style to suit a 5 star running back better?" and Butch, like a child, ran away from it.

It disappoints me that the reporters didn't stand up for each other after he did that. Butch is paid millions to win games. Reporters are paid very little to find out WHY they do or don't win games. Then later on Butch calls out a reporter who left early.

Nothing in this press conference felt honest.

This is the part where we see Butch is a salesman. And his product is starting to not be as wonderful as he said it would be, and it's to the point he can't say "but wait, there's more!" any longer. The fans are tired of his ****. We can only hope the AD is too, but with the way the UTAD is right now, and UT in general, I doubt strongly we see anything change and we get another year of not winning when we should.

Debord no knowing how to consistently call an offense. Dobbs regressing because we don't have a QB coach. Whoever is in charge of the running back rotation not feeding the ball to our most productive backs. I could go on.

I would do that except for one thing.....

The thought of him coming in and having a freak injury like a broken thumb on his throwing hand. You waste a year of eligibility for that?

Not sure if that is a valid enough reason to keep him on the bench if you think he is legit.

I think if that is the case you end up losing Dormady and we don't have a QB coming in the 2017 class as of now.

I know you've been on this train for awhile, but I'll bite anyhow. How have you seen enough to make the determination on QD one way or the other?

I agree. You can't blame anyone for this. You can't force players to step up and be a leader some have it some don't. I think if butch let's go and a new oc/qb and new ol coach comes in and players progress we should have a good year

That 5-0 start was an act of god, with some of the worst coaching breakdowns and bad gameplans I've ever seen (App State, Florida first half, UGA all over the place, etc.). It should have been apparent to most that those chickens were going to come to roost.

Nobody does. I would roll and see what the kids got especially with TT. Dobbs has been a turnover machine lately.

They aren't going to bench the 3 year starting senior QB when there is turmoil on the team when he is one of the team leaders....nor are they going to create a QB controversy that they could easily avoid.

This is the Dooley years all over. 12 players already gone from the program from the 2014 class.

Writing is on the wall.

So, we only boat-raced them in the second half because Teez slipped? C'mon, man!! Credit where credit is due. We have been horrible the last two games, but the 3 before those were pretty good. VT was pretty good. There is no excuse for losing Saturday night, but don't let your anger over this terrible loss cause you to have memory lapses.

You have to look at the plays that got us in those positions. Martin getting burned and staking FL a big lead, hurds fumble in ga, mosely letting riley get behind him those are plays that players are failing at. Are they being coached this way possibly.
