I don't know. I haven't seen Akers play. He's rated higher than Ty. If he's better than Chandler he has to be very very special.
The latest: The dismissal of Les Miles at LSU may have impacted Akers' recruitment, as the Tigers were seen as a major player in the sweepstakes. Ohio State, Tennessee, Florida State and Ole Miss now seem like the most likely landing spots for the five-star running back. Things could certainly change as LSU fills it's open head coaching position or more becomes known about the NCAA investigation surrounding Ole Miss.
The prediction: Ole Miss - Rob Cassidy, Southeast recruiting analyst
Farrells Pick: Ole Miss

Why Chandler hasnt gotten a bump to 5* is beyond me. I am no expert and all I have seen is whats online. But if there is anything that Akers may have the advantage over Chandler is in break away speed. Even then, I dont know if he even has that. Chandler is a really special RB.
Akers doesn't have anymore breakaway speed than Chandler. I said the only slight thing I can see on film is that Akers might have a little quicker cutting ability than Chanlder but it's barely noticeable. Chandler is rated the #6th best RB in the country from 247 Sports & that's wrong.
He's got to move up to at least #2 here soon or by seasons end. They kid is getting cheated on his rankings. Glad we already have him on our side.
When do the recruiting services do their evaluations again? Its criminal that Chandler isnt a 5*.
Usually mid-season & end of season. That's typically how it goes. However, there have been 2 recruits that I know of that got bumps in composite ratings during the 2nd week of the high school season.
Don't remember which ones though. But, mid-season & end of season is how it's supposed to go. Plus, a couple of weeks before the season starts. That makes 3 different evaluations.

I couldnt care less about the evaluations chandler is a 5 star stud
Chandler is actually underrated. Top 5 back by most, closer to top 3, he is an SEC back if you could mold one. Size, power, and speed.
As for Akers, guess who has started recruiting him hard again in the last two weeks? Bama sees the writing on the wall on Harris and going back after Akers. Harris was the reason he decommitted.
