2016 Election Thread Part Deux

I asked you before, exactly what state secrets do they have?

And if indeed it is Hillary's emails, wouldn't that give the big lie to the case the FBI ran?

I have no clue what state secrets the Russians or their Wikileaks outfit has on us, or on Clinton specifically.

I'm not sure I follow your second question.

Tapper "NYTimes said Trump didn't pay taxes"

Rudy "Did he break the law?"

Tapper "No"

Rudy "So your problem is with the law"

#CNNSOTU

Again, this isn't the point. The point is that Trump is a complete hypocrite, a liar, and a self-interested hoarder. A far cry from the anti-establishment, populist hero he portrays himself to be.

He didn't break the law. No one is claiming that. What they're claiming is that he's a con artist, which he is.

And also a criminal for stealing from people through the illegal Trump charity.

It's pretty simple. Trump is calling for the release of the emails deleted by Hillary. Not some super secret classified information. However, if those deleted emails were to contain classified information and she knowingly deleted them trying to hamper an investigation, wouldn't that prove beyond a doubt she interfered with an ongoing investigation, put the national security of the US at risk and is incapable of holding the highest office in the land?

Yes, it would.

This should also tell you what I think of Trump.

I think they'll release some of her emails that compromised national security. I would not be surprised if there are some fake ones in there about Benghazi. Apparently, the Russians have also been adding some fake documents to the data dumps, since no one can decipher what is real from what is not in these leaks. It's just assumed that everything is legitimate.

So let's see, you assume that Hiliary's emails would be compromised by the Russians as disinformation, but Trumps tax returns from an anonymous source are completely legitimate.

Let's go back to Hiliary's emails the ones with classified information and compare the two characters. She obviously isn't competent to handle classified material - that's proven; but you claim that Trump would purposely compromise state secrets for whatever reason. My guess is that as someone who plays the real estate game like he has, that he does understand how to keep secrets - hard to drive a bargain if you give away your bargaining points. As president, why would he give away his bargaining position?

A second point regarding Hiliary and state secrets. I'd bet she simply was "too busy" to bother with mundane stuff like security training, so some stuff she may have done because she chose to be stupid. Other stuff should have been obvious to even her, and she chose not to secure it. So you get down to a couple of things. Either she is incompetent and unfit to handle our business, or the government is grossly incompetent to ensure security - how it is safeguarded and ensuring that people with access are trained and held accountable. With all the intelligence and investigative agencies, if we cannot maintain proper security programs, then we have to get back to the incompetence of those in control - career politicians and their unelected cronies (Jeh Johnson, for example) running departments and agencies. That goes back to anybody but a damned career politician.

Trumps tax returns were verified by his own CPA. Also Russians are the kings of disinformation. That's how they divide and conquer their foes. Wikileaks could literally have nothing on Clinton but if they pull something out of their as that sounds good enough it will work in their favor.

Make no mistake: you are a full-blown Trumper, no matter what you say about your reluctant vote for him. You're so Trump, you have cheetos oozing out of every inch of you.

And you have me completely wrong. As I've said two dozen times now, Hillary should be in prison.

As I told Grand Vol, the fact that I still think her a better president than Trump should tell you what I think of Kremlin Don.

Perhaps you should open your eyes then. Because with both choices we are totally screwed. Just less so with Trump in my opinion.

Still not voting for him either.

As I suspected, the ole' "yeah, he's a slimeball, but he's my slimeball, and, besides, it's everyone else's fault" defense.

Donald can evidently do no wrong.

What are you talking about? Don't you try to pay as little taxes as possible.... I know I do.... it's freaking common sense

As I've always said, Presidential politics is a field position football game.

How can some of you honestly flock to this Danney story? This is the most obvious "grasping for straws" example I have ever seen.

It's 1999 all over again. Drudge re-reporting this even after there was a DNA test that proved the kid wasn't Clintons is truly grasping for straws and trying to find a way to take the heat off of Trump. The funny thing is that the kid has been asked for interviews all year and has been sending reporters down rabbit holes. The kid can hire a media agent but can't sit down to have an interview.

It was shot down years ago. But, alas, the True Believer mind is a conspiratorial, paranoid mind, so it will always believe the story.

Rationalize the actions of that loser how ever you will, but it's inexcusable.

I try to take advantage of any credits that may be offered me, but I would never not pay at all. That is the action of a self-interested moocher who has no love at all for his country or his countrymen.

If you think Trump hasn't paid ANY Taxes you're sadly mistaken, payroll, ss, etc. If he's broken any laws he'll be held accountable.Whens the last time you overpaid your taxes? 🙄

Proof of the DNA test was negative? Show me.

I can't speak to the validity of the report, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least...

Under Intense Pressure to Silence Wikileaks, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Proposed Drone Strike on Julian Assange | True Pundit

Clinton’s State Department was getting pressure from President Obama and his White House inner circle, as well as heads of state internationally, to try and cutoff Assange’s delivery of the cables and if that effort failed, then to forge a strategy to minimize the administration’s public embarrassment over the contents of the cables. Hence, Clinton’s early morning November meeting of State’s top brass who floated various proposals to stop, slow or spin the Wikileaks contamination. That is when a frustrated Clinton, sources said, at some point blurted out a controversial query.

“Can’t we just drone this guy?” Clinton openly inquired, offering a simple remedy to silence Assange and smother Wikileaks via a planned military drone strike, according to State Department sources. The statement drew laughter from the room which quickly died off when the Secretary kept talking in a terse manner, sources said. Clinton said Assange, after all, was a relatively soft target, “walking around” freely and thumbing his nose without any fear of reprisals from the United States.
